LOL! I loved your clever sonnet. My kind of sonnet. Not the stuffy stuff. Great job. You are right. I don't think either lover would kill self over the other nowadays. Marilyn

    Hi Marilyn:

I think I've read too many of the 'stuffy' ones lately, my brain ran the other direction lol I appreciate the fun review!

Yes, I have no problem believing William Shakespeare is the best-selling fiction author of all time and although I LOVE your poem, I am sure he rolled over in his grave when he heard this one. I love your sense of humor and probably would have laughed had I been in the room when you told your teacher it would be cool if she died on her birthday. Very nice work with this one, I got a kick out of it.

    Hi!

I am so glad you enjoyed this one. I had a lot of fun writing it. I usually try not to inflict iambic pentameter on myself, but this time I couldn't resist. Thank you for all the fun comments!

Haha ... "No Romeo is worth such tragedy" ... luv it! I love your very 'modern' Sonnet, Kim, complete with "Ray-Ban sunglasses/Prada handbags/Vogue/Seventeen". I agree, in today's age Juliet would have had so many things to take her mind off of Romeo, like "counting calories and starch".

I enjoyed your poem. It's definitely creative and you thought outside the box on this one, Kim. I agree with you, it would be kind of neat if we were to die on the exact day that we were born. It would certainly make it easy for family and friends to remember the date of our death. It would be quite convenient. For me, that would be Christmas Day. I laughed at your highschool story, Kim. :)

Good luck in the contest! - - Connie

    Hi Connie,

Not to mention that the next Romeo would be along in 5 minutes anyways lol Thanks for the fun comments. I love all of the enthusiasm in your review.

This poem has nice flow. Like the references to all of today's elements that teenagers think they need. The artwork works well with this piece. Thanks for sharing this piece.
