I'm pleased to meet you, Tina. Clearly, you have weathered many storms, the proof of which is, you still are alive (if I get your drift). I admire your optimism.

Thank you for reviewing my poem. Yes, lots of storms, but they died out, thankfully. I made the decision to be optimistic about it. Thanks for your input and insight!

Pealm 30:5 "His anger is fleeting, but His favour lasts a lifetime. Weeping may stay the night, but joy cometh in the morning." Could'nt resist that. Yes it's true, storms will come, but with time they calm. Well done, a beautifully written and philosophical free poem, articulate, expressive with good imagery. Well done, blessings, Roy

Hello Tina,

I don't think I have read your poetry before. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Yes, the storms of life are tough, but it is worth it to hang on and get through them. There's always something worthwhile around the corner.

I enjoyed your poem today. I could feel the tension from the storm and then breathed a sigh of relief when the storm calmed down.

Joy xx

You totally get the poem! Thanks for reviewing it and giving me your impressions. I'm glad it made you feel something. Thanks again !
I joined FS last Fall, loved it, then was deluged with some "storms" but there's better weather now and I have time and energy to write!
    Best to you!

The imagery is gripping, the theme unfolds step by step and that gives a balance of the progressive growth and peace. The storm is not just a nature's fury but an inner turmoil that is clear from your poem. You trace the emotions that change with the weather and you do it skillfully.

Wow...thank you for your deep insight! Yes, a storm attacks, but sometimes an emotional storm brews inside also! I like how you went farther than other reviewers, and analyzed the growth toward peace. You have to go through storms to get it sometimes. It makes you appreciate life. I appreciate this feedback:)
Thank you so much for your input!

God brings us through the storms of life - even when it seems we will be blown away. I am glad to have discovered you, my Sister in Christ and will read anything you offer. This is beautiful poetry that expresses so well our tribulations and storms. Great artwork gives it glory. Storms end and peace reigneth.

Hi Tina, Welcome back! I know what it's like to have your world turned topsy-turvy for a while. I hope things have settled a bit. It sounds as if the storm clouds have passed, at least for the time being. The poem is really good, I have just one suggestion... you may want to make the print larger/bolder for those of us who are old and don't see so well anymore. ;) Lovely work! :)

That is actually a great idea! I have trouble reading it myself, lol!
Things have settled down a bit. The good Lord pulled me through as always!
I hope your world and "weather" are right-side-up and sunny.
Thank you for the kind review and suggestion!

This poem, Winner of the Storm, lays out in this extended metaphor the challenge of life. It consists of different fronts which blow through and can be damaging. Winning means to understand what is passing and what is here.

Thank you for your insightful review! Storms "can be" damaging, but we can appreciate what is still here...wise words. That might spark a new poem, lol! Thank you for taking the time to give me your valuable input!

Wow! Quite the allegory, storms representing the struggles we endure throughout our lifetime. Indeed, no better word could be used. Great job carrying the struggle to a victory. God Bless your endeavours.

Your poem is very moving, one that all should be able to relate to. You have done an excellent job of paralleling changes in weather with the challenges in life.

Thank you, Janice! Youve given me quite the compliment. Being a poet "wanna-be", moving people is my goal. You made my morning. I hope your weekend is great.

Using the weather as a metaphor for the storms we face in life was an excellent choice. Everyone has to face at least one storm during their lifetime, and the majority come through it to face the sunshine again. This a great little poem which I thoroughly enjoyed. Well done. :)) Sandra xxx

Sandra, thank you for saying you enjoyed my poem. I am so happy that you got it too! I appreciate when reviewers compliment my style or structure in poems, but what means more is how it made you feel. Thank you again, and have a nice weekend!
