I just don't know what else to say. I cried, this is so emotional, so true, how can anyone deny what sacrifice was done for us. This brought the raw that people ignore. spread it

What a poem. I love the story of our redemption but I can't control my pain and anger when I read about the crucifixion. I really can't even look at movies with the crucifixion because it makes me cry and feel physically ill. You did a great job. Shirley

Thank you, dear Shirley. I have found a new friend in you here at the cross. I know it is difficult but Jesus willingly took our sin upon himself and paid for it all. A spotless person and the lamb of God. The Bible said because of that, He is given the name above all names and is glorified in heaven as Lord of all. We have much to look forward to, and He has promised to wipe every tear from our eyes! We will take a walk together you and I and rejoice with Jim, Shirley! Sending you my best today as always, and I hope you know just how much Jesus loves you today and every day.
Your friend, fan, and sister in Christ,
Sally xoxo

I have read that excerpt, (or part of it) He suffered untold physical torture to deliver us from the power of death, to take the very sting of death and the power of the grave, and deliver us from final judgement, how could one not love Him. Well done dear Sally, this is beautifully written, and adoringly posted, well done, blessings, Roy

Beautiful faith poem. It's so hard for me to read the passages about His crucifixion or even to watch that part of films of Jesus. Really well done in expressing the heart of the gospel.
"was torchered," (tortured?)

It's a,ways Easter and Christmas for me. I love the Lord and all He has done for me. No greater love has no man, than the one who lays his life down for his friends. So true.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xoxo

Your free verse allows for such a personal testament to your faith I enjoyed reading it several times. It is a wonderful time, this period before Easter, to contemplate Jesus' suffering for our sins. God Bless.
(Oh, the spelling is "tortured" in line seven!)

What I liked about this was that you put us there at the foot of the cross, watching the sufferings of Jesus, and you told the poem in a very personal voice fraught with emotion. We really get a great sense of the guilt we feel at being the cause of this suffering, but also the relief in being freed from sin by it. We can leave the cross, and death, and start a new life from there. Lots of detail in the descriptions, lots of vivid detail, really wrench up our experience of this poem. estory

I loved the line about our desperation being His concern. You did a great job with this and I can think many of us can relate to your words. Great job friend.
