She seems to be using her head to figure a way out of the mess she is in. Colin must be mentally ill to think he can get away with stealing her plans and presenting them as his own. He has her locked safely away so he will have to kill her if he is to follow through. She will have to keep them out of his hands to survive. Well done, Sandra. Nancy:)

Oh my gosh Sandra I'm so sorry to hear that you have shingles. I've heard that is quite painful. I don't know the duration of them, but I hope you heal sooner than later.
The chapter is good as always. I did laugh at the spend a penny line. I understood what it meant based on how rest of the story was going, but I had never heard that saying. I enjoy learning little tidbits of UK English. I'm hoping now that Colin gets his not only from Tania, but from Grant and his buddies and then the police. Will we find out why the relationship between Grant and Colin is estranged?
I wish you well this week. I'll be waiting for next Sunday's chapter, but if you are that much in pain, take care of yourself first. Take care, Sally

Aw, thank you so much for your concern, my friend. It's the type of pain I would swap for labour pains. At least I'd have a baby at the end of it! Lol. The 'spend a penny' is an expression that never went away after we decimalised our coins. We had to put a penny in the slot to open the door in public toilets. Most are free now, but it was a nicer way of saying you need the loo.
Yes, you will find out why Colin and Grant's relationship is strained. It's quite a story in itself. It's a few parts on, but at the right time.

Thank you so very much for this fabulous review, Sally, and another shower of gold stars, you are always so kind. Sending you a humongous hug, my friend. Have a lovely week, and stay safe and healthy. :)) Sandra xx

Ha, ha, ha, HA! I got in right at the first! lol.
Boy, you're really weaving an intrigue-based story here, aren't you! We all thought you were going Hallmark, but you're going 007, instead. ð???
Couple of things,if I may (or even if I may not!):
Grant murmured, disappointment coated his words. >> This feels like two sentences when read aloud. If you're going to keep it one, you might change ''coated' to 'coating'. Not sure why I think that will make a difference but...
let Monica know where I am when? >> Is this a UK phrase? It confused my little pea-brain to have ''where I am when'. When what?
more pressing things > HAHAHAHA! Wonderful. I was SO hoping you'd done that on purpose and you did! Great...for those of us with a warped sense of humor!
Surely he knows there's no internet? >> Technically, this isn't a question.
If I don't spend a penny soon, I'll burst >> Now, I KNOW that's UK slang! But I like it. Spend a penny? Do y'all have to pay for public restrooms? Interesting!
Feeling a lot safer now she had something >> Feeling a lot safer now that she had something
Oh, boy...You have me anxious about the next bit. Weapons in the hands of people with heart can be used against them. They hesitate and the bad guys take them. Oh, boy...Hurry with the next chapter!
Blessings,
Debs

What a shock that was!!!!! I thought I was hallucinating! Gosh, Debs, this is fast for you, lol. I'm so pleased though. Thank you so much for the lovely, helpful review! You always find what I miss.
'where I am when'. When what? The 'when' should have been deleted when I changed the sentence. I'm so pleased you found it and pointed it out. I made a couple of other changes, too.
Hallmark? Hmm, it did start out that way, but something changed! Lol. I've already written 24 chapters, but they are slowly being changed as my mind changes direction. I won't be doing that again. LOL Thank you, dear friend, I'm so glad you are still enjoying my story. Warm hugs. Sandra xxxx (Hope you are much better today) xx

Hi Sandra! I think writing ahead is smarter than what I did - jumped off a bridge with an evil substitute and no idea where I"m going to land. Well, that's not quite true. I DO know how I'm ending the book and how the boys restore Mrs. Elliot. But I'm not sure all that gooey middle stuff. lol
Now I"m struggling with it. I wrote some in Alabama but didn't have a computer and cannot find the notebook I had. And, of course, nothing I write now is as satisfying as what I wrote then...But I need to start again and just jump in.
I'm working on the cover art for Orion. Yikes...I think I'm going to pop over to Amazon and see what other Christian thriller covers look like...So much business to do still, even though the book is technically done. (And I hate the business end of this business! lol)
Well, I"m getting up, so I assume you're getting ready for bed. Have a great night!
    Hugs and blessings,
    Deb

Not bed time yet It's 3pm so still the middle of the afternoon. You just reminded me of your book, you haven't posted a chapter since November!!! Don't you think Mrs Elliot is getting a bit worried? Lol. Time to start the next part. You can think about it while you are still in recovery. :)) xxx

Once again, this is really good. I enjoyed reading and am very worried about Tania, but I'm sure Grant and his friends will find her in time. I'm wondering what Grant will do to Colin. I have a feeling we'll see Monica again.

Doesn't look like Tania will be going home any time soon, but hopefully she gets the chance to bust Colin's head like a pumpkin. And to think, I'm not a violent person. But this is one of those cases when you got me riled up. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

I'm totally not a violent person, but I can become a different person if I see thugs going up against a lone person. It drives me mad! I stood up to a gang of bikers when they forced my husband to pull over. We had our two young sons in the car, and they were frightened sick. I was out of that car like lightning, and really went for them. I don't think they thought we'd do anything, but they hadn't counted on coming against a mother who would go wild to protect her children. My late husband didn't know what to do! Grab me, or stay with our sons. LOL. The bikers left with their tailes between their legs.
Thank you, Ric, for another lovely review. I really appreciate you still reading and reviewing my story. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I have always figured that somewhere inside the sweet and gracious person who makes me want to hug her for real lies a hidden fireball. Smiles! ((HUG))

LOL. I am really sweet and cuddly, lol. I'm only mad if someone I love is threatenend. Isn't that the case with most mothers! I'll have that hug anytime. :))

I'm so glad Tanya is alright, alive at least and is ready to fight, especially since no one else seems to be getting anywhere. Your story is very well-written, interesting start to finish. I enjoyed your colorful phrases. I had shingles on the right side of my face, causing a constant ear and tooth ache. I'm sure that doesn't compare. I hope you get better soon.

Oh, my word, to have shingles on your face must have been so painful? It's the most painful thing I've been through, and this is my second time. I'd rather be giving birth to another baby! At least I'd get some pleasure at the end. Lol.
Thank you so much for the six stars, my dear friend, and the the wonderful review. I'm so pleased you are still enjoying the story. Tania is a fighter, more than she ever thought. It's amazing what courage you can find when you know your life is in danger. Warm hugs, dear friend. :)) Sandra xx

I was eating Tylenol like candy. The worst part of it all is my kids came for a visit, brought my new granddaughter I could only admire her from afar. I got the vaccine as soon as it was over.
reply by the author on 10-Jan-2021
I only knew there was a vaccine from another lady on here. But it's too late to have it now. I'll get it once this bout is over. I can quite understand why you would want to keep the baby away from you. The temptation to have a cuddle would be so strong ... and so painful! How old is she now?
reply by Mistydawn on 10-Jan-2021
She's two almost three. She's quite a little character. I face time them all the time.
reply by the author on 10-Jan-2021
aww, that is so nice. I love them when they are babies, toddlers, youngsters, now, in my youngest grandson's age, (Eric) a teenager. I love them at whatever age they reach. There is always something exciting about watching them as they learn and grow. xxx

Another good chapter. I think this lady is smart enough to make her way past this nut somehow. I suppose we will read about that in the next post. Well done Sandy as always.

Excellent chapter - lots of action and emotion.
(Shingles? Yikes! Congratulations for writing at all!)
Three small things:
'...if I hurried?'Sod it, let's do it.' Needs a space.
'I'll have to go on the ground..' I think you mean floor.
'...no way he's going to smack me around the face again!' You've mentioned her face a few times leading up to this, I think the sentence would be stronger if you just said ' no way he's going to smack me around again!'
Already looking forward to the next chapter!

-An excellent chapter, Sandra,
and you didn't miss a beat with this one!
-I like how you focused most of it on Tania.
-The beginning was also good, as we see
Grant and his buddies organizing themselves.
-You really get into the head of Tania, as
she tries to figure out the best thing to do.
-You also create good suspense since she
doesn't know if Colin is there or will come back.
-She juggles all of those thoughts with
trying to get her bearings, contacting Monica,
and also figuring a way to protect herself.
-You leave us wanting more!!
-Very well done, my friend.
