This is an in between chapter. Tanis and Grand making up;the decision to return;rapier wanted for crime in both the countries... Very well worded and smooth flowing chapter and as usual you are making us wait!..

I guess there has to be more than meets the eye, and now we know how Rapier got the the island. I guess Tania knew less about herself and her feelings as had Grant, and I think that there is some collateral damage than any of think. But at least their love for one another is stronger than them both, beautifully written Sandra, well done, blessings Roy

Thank you so much, dear Roy, for your wonderful comments on this part. Yes there is a lot of hurt to be brought out and remedied, but love does help an awful lot. Thanks, dear friend. Warm hugs and much love. Sandra xxx

Fantastic chapter yet again. The crimes will be following them back to England for justice sake. It's nice to have romance in the thick of it all. Rapier ( Max Cannon) is certainly behind them. Staying tuned.

One area that has a problem. A squirrel mark in the paragraph beginning : "The vet took a wad of notes...."

Sending you my best today as always and six stars to b,essence,
Sal XOs

Thank you so very much, dear Sal, for another of your gorgeous reviews, and topping it off with a sixth star is just so lovely of you. Yes, Rapier has many crimes to answer for, so I'm not sure how Scotland Yard will go about accomodating the Chief of Police in the Bahamas. He's certainly not going to be giving him up now he has something to hold him with. I might need to take some advice on that!! Thank you, my friend. Sending you a humongous hug! :)) Sandra xxx 😘

Hello Sandra,
Just like a woman to not even mention that little item about who the snitch is.
LOL
Well, we're back on firm romantic footing in this chapter with a breakfast served too. I think your readers will love it.
Even the dogs are recovering. :)
I could use one of those plates of bacon, eggs and mushrooms this morning.

But then the call from the Police Chief in the Bahamas takes us back to reality. There is still Colin and his mother to deal with.
This is an excellent chapter, a nice break from crime and punishment.
Well done, my friend.
Best wishes.
Robert

🤣😂 Perhaps next time, or the one after? The snitch will be revealed soon. Thank you so much for this wonderful review, Robert, and the golden sixth star. We are heading closer to the end, but there are still a few things we have to wrap, which includes Colin and his mum. That will be a fun one! I'm glad you are still enjoying it as I always value your input, (and often use it!) Warm hugs, my friend, enjoy the rest of your day. :)) Sandra xx

Filthy rich and kind to animals into the bargain! What's not to like about this chapter?

Then just when everything is going swimmingly we learn he has stepped outside the law. This could be tied up with red tape for a long time methinks.

A couple of thoughts to be going along with:

'They both had their demons, and together they would overcome them.' I think this is one of those cases where 'daemons' might be the better spelling. Follow this link to see the difference:

https://grammarist.com/usage/demon-vs-daemon/

And:

'Grant looked at the dog's face, (his) its eyes had that pleading expression' => otherwise we have confusion as to whether it is Grant's or the dog's eyes that are the subject of the sentence. And I think you intend it to be the dog's.

Finally we have a gremlin strike. It looks to me that you intended an Italian rather than a Spanish word here. And I think the Spanish would be more likely in that part of the world, but I could be wrong.

'He shook his head. 'No, sigĂ??or,' ??????

Thanks, Jim, I didn't see that and it should have been senor, not the Italian signor, I've changed it, but still couldn't get that sqiggly thing to sit on it, even though Jose's stayed. Wierd! The other points you pointed out were gratefully received, and I've made the corrections. I didn't know that about demons and daemons. We're never too old to learn! 😂 Thanks so much for the lovely review, my friend, I'm glad you liked it. Warm hugs. :)) Sandra xxx

This Chapter 41 of the Fiction speaks simply, expressively and interestingly in a thrilling flavour, about heading back to London; clarity of purposes plotted well, well done; thanks for sharing this. ALCREATOR

Hi Sandra, this was another lovely chapter. So they have left the island and they are about to land at Heathrow. I like the fact that they've rescued the dogs. And they have Rapier with them, not knowing he's commited murder to get to them.
Just a minor thing. I would just write 'senor' as FS can't handle the proper spelling. A big hug. Ulla xxxx

Thanks so much, Ulla. I've just taken the squiggly bit off. I managed to get it to stay on Jose (can't do it on here) but not on senor. Oh, well, it still works, thanks for that. I'm glad you liked this part, not much more to do, then I'll be doing my big edit. (the part I hate most!) Thank you for the golden star, dear friend! Lots of hugs, Sandra xxx

I have to say I don't like that either. I'm struggling a bit but it has to be done xx

Oh Heavens ...It's raining teardrops of joy!

first I was all misty eyed and happy for Tania and how Monica was overjoyed for her friends as well. BUT.... I too am a sucker for the furbabies and that scene just took me over the top. I might have had to climb into the story and grab the little sad fellow if Grant hadn't done it for me. Just a wonderful way to start the morning.... love flowing from every corner.

You know I am a forever fan but when "love is in the air" and generosity flows, it just adds a special feeling as well. Not to get too mushy... oh what the heck... you know I am an emotional old lady... I simply loved loved loved it beyond words.

Smiles and hugs......have a spectacular day!
Always your friend, Carol

ps...If I could send more than six stars I most definitely would....
