Sally,
I'm not a huge fan of haiku in general, but I like this one. I like the thought of the crisp leaves being frosted by winter's breath. It's amazing how quickly we forget prior seasons as new ones emerge.

We do. However, There is something to be appreciated in each season. I?ve gone from living in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida, New York, and now back to Florida. No fall here, or snow. I had to access my long-term memory on this one.
Sending along we?re very best and many thanks for your kind reviews, Sally XOs

I'm afraid I've spent my entire life, except for one of my college years and travel, in four-season NH. Winters are long and spring and fall seem too, short.

This is descriptive and makes me long for summer. Is there something wrong with gert? I never know what's going on. Thanks for sharing this terrific haiku.

Thank you for the lovely review and compliments, dear. Stan Sherwood had a heart attack a few days ago according to Helen and Roy. They have asked for prayer. She is in and out right now. More out than in. Understandable though. They have been happily married for 56 years. Sweet dear couple. Sending you my best today as always,

We got a hard frost today that caused many leaves to tumble, but they were not "frosted" like those in the photo. You remind us how quickly one season morphs into the next.

This is a really lovely haiku. Through the use of an expressive metaphor and personification, you have taken us from autumn to winter. I had to tear myself away from the awesome artwork!

Nice haiku. Snow is beautiful and even more interesting when hasn't totally covered those colorful leaves of fall. It hasn't come to my part of teh world yet and I hope it doesn't. I don't like being cold. I'll look at the snow pictures other peple take.

I love first snow, it is living in it that makes it difficult. I lived in upstate New York near Niagara Falls for eight years. I now live in Florida. Sending love my very best and many thanks for your kind review, Sally XOs
