This was an absolutely great novel. It should be a movie. You gave it the perfect ending. If you're thinking of letting Bessie got on to other ways of changing the pass and righting the wrongs, I'll be waiting to read all about it.

    Thank you so much, Beth! What a lovely review and a huge thank you for the sixth star! I've got ideas for Bessie, but I've promised everyone that I would bring Mildred back first in a new time travel story. Actually, most of my books are time travel, even my grandson's books. Eric and Herbie his alien drone went back in time. Hmm, I wonder why that is!! Lol. Thank you again, my friend. I've really appreciated all your support. Love and hugs. Sandra xxx

I was wondering how you you were going to have a happy ending for Margot and then the great grandy turns up - genius. I wonder what your creative mind will turn un up - a solution to the line spacing problem perhaps. If Bessie had a great grandson or daughter who was a computer programmer perhaps...

No, probably not.

Talk to you after the chequered flag.

    No, I doubt very much she would be able to come and sort this spacing out! Lol. I just don't know what to do to sort it.
    Well, that's this book finished, and I have had fun writing it. Thank you for coming along for the ride, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And thank you for the golden star! I appreciate it. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

You've done a marvelous job of wrapping this story up, Sandra. You've portrayed all the emotions well, and left us with a potentially happy ending for Margot. It has been a pleasure to read this novel. Best wishes and hugs. Judy

Okay,

Now I had guessed the ending a while ago but wanted to let things play out. When I sussed out what was happening, I wrote some things down. ( just struck me in the way 'The Time-Travellers Wife is very disturbing also - grooming anyone?)

Consider this;

Margot is in Meg; Miles has been 'in' Meg / Margot, and now presumably Grandson Miles will be 'in' Margot... Meaning Margot has had both Miles & little Miles.

Consider this;

Meg got pregnant almost immediately after Margot left. What if she didn't. What if Margot got pregnant whilst Meg, meaning that Miles is actually her grandson...

I had a lot of fun with these scenarios...

Margot stared at Bessie over the brim of her mug. 'So, are you going to tell me how it was thanks to me Meg fell pregnant? It sounds a bit far-fetched to me,'- dialogue here should end with a period rather than a coma before the closing speech marks.

All the best
G

    I did think that, and I was also thinking of bringing Margot back pregnant, lol. I think that would have caused too many problems and also, raise a lot of questions!
    Thanks for picking up that comma, I quickly went and changed it. And a big thank you for the sixth star, coming from you I know I've done well. Thank you so much! I've really appreciated all your reviews, the help, everything. :)) Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

I'm sobbing in my coffee for Margot's happiness and because THE END of this favorite story is here. You don't know how much I've enjoyed this book, Sandra. It was imaginative, descriptive, warming, satisfying, and a pleasure to read. I have learned from it, and it has inspired me to become better at this beautiful craft of writing. I extend to you my gratitude and my respect as my mentor and my friend. Best, JohnC

-A beautiful ending to a wonderful book, Sandra.
-I almost had tears in my eyes thinking about what Margot must have been going through, and how she felt when she was in her own home.
-I also liked how you had her appear in her own time by the graves of Miles and Meg.
-You do a great job wrapping up the past, and explaining what had happened to those who had some part in the undoing of Meg's family, as well as all of the anguish of Miles and his family.
-I think that things can be taken care of in a natural way instead of inflicting more pain, especially when it's in a novel! The various ones who made Miles and Meg's lives miserable, as well as the parents, suffered enough, and Miles' mother certainly paid for her part in things.
-Good for Meg that she had the confidence that had been taken from her.
-You wrote the second part just right. It must have been a shock to Margot to hear the gentleman say he was Miles. I would have been over the moon!!! I am wondering why he didn't see Margot when he walked past her.
-I liked the comment about Margot being used to Bessie "popping up without warning."
-Bessie does a good job assuring Margot that things will be more than fine.
-I hope you consider an epilogue to give us a peek into Margot and Miles' relationship.

    Thank you so much, Pam! What a lovely review! I'm so pleased you enjoyed the ending. I'll think about an epilogue. It wasn't Margot that Miles didn't see as he walked past, it was Bessie. I've changed the sentence slightly so no one else will think that. Thank you, big time, for the golden star, I'm floating on air today!! Love and hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

    You are very welcome, Sandra, and you should be really proud of everything you accomplished. I thought the ending was great, and also romantic for Margot to finally get her Miles. Thanks for explaining about Bessie being the one he didn't see. It has been a special day for both of us😊😊

What a lovely ending, Sandra. All loose ends tied up and a couple destined to live happily ever after. I would have liked to know what that letter contained that brought the new Miles to Margot's front door. Maybe we'll find out in a sequel!
I have a bit of catching up to do. What with one thing and another, I've not managed to make time for FanStory recently. Mea culpa.

Hi, stranger. So glad I came by even at the end. I think I was reading this a long time ago before my "downtime" with COVID and depression and stuff. I will try and backtrack some.

Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

I think you are one romantic, I somehow knew you'd fix the Miles Brandon thingee, with the great grandson of Miles, materialising right in front of her at the front door, you are very kind to the likes of me, this is beautifully written my friend Sandra, I'll miss Bessie I think, blessings Roy
Typo : Meg went with Miles to confront(ed) them

    Thank you so much, Roy. I could never write a sad ending, Margot deserved her own Miles. I did think of giving him a different name, but back in those days the gentry always gave their first born son the father's Christian name, so I did the same. :)) I'm glad you enjoyed the ending, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx
