Paul,

This is an excellent entry in the Rhyming Poem contest. I especially like the 5th stanza as it perfectly sums up the dilemma He faces every day listening to humanity's prayers. Many of which need only go to voice mail to be deleted immediately after.

All the best in the contest,

Eugene

Thanks, Eugene. It would be interesting to know what percentage of prayers go to junk mail.

Paul, this is clever, creative and funny. I love the cloud reference and the answering by group email.
Rhyming is perfect.
Good luck in the contest.
Best wishes,
Mary

A funny, smart poem on the data God has to manage. In iambic pentameter with alternating lines of rhyme. "As millions fight to gain his Holy Ear,/He uses spreadsheets to collate the mess" is my favorite pair of lines.
My brother is a commercial fisherman out of Sitka, originally; he no longer sails, but he long-lined and salmon trolled in Alaska before switching to albacore trolling all over the Pacific. I fished with him for albacore once summer about twenty-five years ago, and that was a top shelf memory.

Thanks, Frank. Our factory trawlers fished out of Dutch Harbor.

    Did you trawl the Grand
Banks before the Canadian closure? I've been watching the results of that for cod, etc., periodically; it seems the recovery is taking quite a while, and that the fishery will require tight management, although I hate the way human demands have made everything into a quota!

After the Gulf of Maine dried up, we fished the Grand Banks for a few years before we went to Alaska.

Good luck with your contest entry Paul. I thought your rhyming poem was extra clever. Putting god in man's backyard with computer files etc. He probably is a fanstory member as well! Answering all the prayers around the world with one email! K xx

God employed a mathematician to sort it all out for him and that guy was you Paul and you certainly managed to get God organised here with accounting software and spreadsheets for easy access. All he needs is a reward system set up in Microsoft Powerpoint so that he can reward the good with a miracle here and his Presentation to the Angels will encourage them to recognise those who are worthy of praise.

This poem is inventive and full of fun, I enjoyed your organised mind as you sort out all those prayers and make sure they are all answered in a timely manner. It is good to know that you are in charge of this organisation Paul. Ha ha ha.

A well rhymed and humorous post, love Dolly x x x

Thanks, Christine. You are probably getting a little too high tech with power point, but you never know.

This is absolutely brilliant! I enjoyed it so much! It rhymes flawlessly and flows so well. The concept itself is so original that I wonder what you've been doing with your time. Messing about with computers, tangled cables and emails? Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks for the review. I stay away from computers as much as I can. I have grandchildren to help me when I get into trouble.

A very interesting concept and very original. I am not religious but then you don't have to be to enjoy your very skilled rhyme. I wish you lots of luck in the competition. Jen.

Thanks, Jen. I don't know if you would call it religion, but spirits have visited me. Possibly they have visited you, and you just did not recognize them.

Loved it, you may be lucky here as I am not overly religious, but I very much liked what I read, the rhyme and flow is wonderful, and the thought of our Father catching up with modern times is great, very well written, best wishes for your contest****kahpot
