Please do not look to the SG of Florida, as he is a DeSantis puppet.

I have gotten all COVID shots and will get the new one. I'm more concerned about Long COVID, as I know a few people who have suffered greatly from that.

I wish your final word, if you're going to write a piece like this, was more definitive than "your guess is as good as mine" and "good luck to us all". It feels incomplete.

Pam, if I thought I knew the answer, I would have put it out there. Sadly, I don't. So, my guess is only that, and no better than anyone else who tries to keep up the world of news. Thanks for reading. Terry.

Since the vaccine for Covid was started I have had Pfizer now four times with absolutely no side effects. I have the flu jab every year too. Whatever the doctors recommend, I have it. I have complete faith in them as they have not failed me yet. Anyone who does not get themselves vaccinated is asking for trouble. The statistics speak for themselves Terry, I enjoyed in your in-dept post Terry, love Dolly x x x

Thank you, Terry. I appreciate your research and comments. I've never had a flu shot although my youngest son works for a flu shot lab. I had the first round of two shot Modera. Not only did I get Covid three times afterwards, I went into immediate heart inflammation, or myocarditis. It took six months to get the inflammation turned around. I will never take a Covid shot again. I've had Covid five times and have survived. I haven't had Covid since mid 2022. I don't believe vaccines should ever be forced. People need to make their own medical decisions. We're the ones that sign the form, not the United States government. It's there of you want it. Jill Biden came down with Covid again. Many have though vaxxed and boosted. If a vaccine has been rushed, and has not been given a complete thumbs up, this should give us pause. It gives me pause.

To question something of this magnitude is our right. We're Americans. Myocarditis is serious and life threatening and is has been liked to this vaccine. I had never had it before taking the vaccine. Not a llick. Unfortunately to speak of this in certain situations, and God forbid on social media, is considered fake news.

I really appreciate you sharing. I'm glad you had good success with vaccines and that you are well.

Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs

Amen! Sister! After five COVID shots and doing everything they said to do, I still got it. The government's response is that it would have been worse if you had not had the shots...HOW do they Know? Thanks for reading. Terry.

Please receive my loud applause Terry. I have suffered more from vaccinations than been helped by them.
Forty years ago, when in my prime, running thirty+ miles a week and fit as a fiddle, I was recommended by my GP, to have a flu shot. Three weeks later I started feeling ill. I got progressively weaker for months until I was not able to work. It took 18 months to recover, by which time I was virtually bankrupt. In my opinion, the vaccine had a profound effect on my immune system, which over reacted and attacked me!

I never had a flu vaccine again - or flu! When Covid jabs were on offer I was cautious: I read the reports, I watched the death rate rocket and decided that vaccination was essential - then the second shot. The second shot partly paralysed my arm. It was sore for three months. Six months later, the booster shot made my whole body stiff and weakened my legs so badly I can hardly stand up. I am not having any more Covid jabs. I have four other problems that will probably finish me off long before Covid gets me!
Consider this a companion piece to your excellent research, Terry!
Your old friend, Paul

Paul, dang, that is a tough story. The problem is the science folks call your experience antidotal. But it's not. It is real life. No one can blame you for not taking any more shots. Hang in there! Terry.

Good work (writing.
Great research (might be satirical). (winky face here)
My wife and I travel a lot (but no flying for us). we're tried to be careful (masks and etc). We're had all the shots and boosters and no Covid. Yay!
Thanks for your post.

Thanks for the information and sorry about the sore arm. If you totally relax your arm when you get the injection, you get less muscle pain.

As for the non-human testing, that's really not true. For all we know, maybe those CA inmates were some of the human test subjects. In our area, there were lots of human volunteer test subjects. Right here on FS, Debbie Pope's grandson volunteered to test the Covid vaccine for kids. So yes, it was tested on humans.

We got all the boosters and we got Covid but a very mild case. You need to ask how many people died who were not vaccinated vs those who were vaccinated.

Thanks for sharing with your fun humor about your research background!

Helen, thank you for reading and finding the two edits. The Surgeon General in Florida was specifically talking about the new (#6) vaccine not being tested on humans. I do think he is misleading in his criticism. Terry.

Terry it's good that you do your research. I personally am, how you say 'screwed '. I am immune surprised from shots I give myself that prevent MS attacks and I also have bad Asthma. We haven't left home since 2000 and we even bought our house virtually; thank God it turned out very well. God watches over us. Chris has worked from home since 2000 and we are years behind for doctor appointments which has not been like us since Chris also had cancer scares from past cancers. It has been difficult but my doctor wrote Chriss boss that should I become exposed to the virus I will
"Succumb to the worst consequences of it."

That sentence runs our life now. Chris even wears a mask when he mows our lawn in the front. Our backyard is fenced in so we are "free range chickens" back there. lol

Please be safe!!

Alex :))

LOL, I like that you have a sense of humor through it all. You are doing what you have to do. My immune system is shot also. But so far so good. Take care, Terry.

Yep. It's the best we could each do Terry. I do also make fun of myself. That's a given. 😊 Alex

So, are your getting the Covid booster? I have said I was, but I haven't yet. Good post that left me with as much concrete factual data as I had going in and, thus, my decision is still hanging out there- unmade.

The decision I have made is not to miss any of your posts. They are always well written, creative, humorous and a delightful break in any day. thanks for the smile ... and for confirming I am no less confused than the rest of the population. Only we 'smart' ones realize we are confused --- right? lol

A minor SPAG:

"Why didn't you bring it when I turned sixty, seventeen years?" I think this should be seventeen years ago ---

Ann, thank you for the six stars. And for finding the spags, there were actually two in that sentence when I went back and looked at your suggestion.

CVS doesn't have the #6 shot yet, and I'm not sure what I want to do. Let me know what you decide. Terry

I have yet to meet anyone --and, gawd knows, traveling to seventy students' homes every week plus selling real estate, I meet plenty-- who has not gotten COVID. I'm serious. Not. One. Yet WAY more than not have been vaccinated. I had the original shot and two boosters --mostly for others' comfort, since I go into THEIR homes and am around so many people--and I am now done. Enough of this nonsense already. I have also never gotten a flu shot, nor have I ever gotten the flu. Or RSV or pneumococcal pneumonia. Or shingles. (I am knocking on wood, though, as I type this.)

Interesting article, Terry.

Rachelle, I don't know how anyone knows for sure. In your case, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Terry.
reply by Rachelle Allen on 26-Sep-2023
Exactly. But I also resent the fact that it's called a "vaccination" when it keeps needing to be boosted that often and doesn't actually prevent the affliction. Call it what it is: a shot.
reply by the author on 26-Sep-2023
Excellent point, they could call it a "do-over."
