I can so sympathise with this. My much younger brother had a stroke last year due to a hole in his heart and had surgery in late January this year.
I'm so glad that everything went well for your young grandson, Tristan. Such great luck that the right people were there with him at the time. Ulla:)))

Thank you Ulla for your understanding review. Sorry to hear about your brother's stroke. Hope his is well.
We have learned so much through this experience. About 50% of people are born with a hole in their heart that heals as they get older but there are those (like Tristan and your brother) whose do not heal. And sometimes a long plane ride, like it Tristan's case, cause a blood clot to form. He definitely was in the right place for this to happen and survive.

Great story! Some suggested technical edits:

Though he was poised for this great game. <= comma, or omit the period entirely. There are actually a bunch of spots where I think removing periods would help, but this spot is the most important of them

His trainers realized his fate <= needs more syllables. Maybe "quickly saw his fate"

The crew stepped up and found a ride. <= a comma would work better

A mother feared what might have been /
but God was there, His love transcends. <= these lines don't rhyme.

For Tristan is MIRACLE MAN. <= this is a little awkward as the accent lands naturally on the A (mir-A-cle). I think you want this text and there is not a perfect way to do it, but if you say "for Tristan is A miracle man" you can speak "miracle" as a triplet but still have the best on the first syllable, where it belongs.

Best to you, your family and Tristan,

SS

What a beautiful story, Janet. So often, these events don't end well. I'm glad for Tristan and his family and teammates. It has to be a relief for all involved that he has made a full recovery and was given a clean bill of health to continue playing. Miracles do happen.

Best, JohnC

Thank you for sharing this amazing young man with us. I can only begin to imagine how scared his mom and family were. I'm so happy he recovered. He will remain in my prayers.

Wow, Tristan is a miracle man for sure! He braved the surgery in a foreign land and gave credit where it was due to the trainers who saw a stroke in the process and knew what to do to help him get the right medical team to bring him back to life.
I am impressed with the family's diligence and perseverance to keep on believing in miracles.
Thanks for sharing this inspirational tale.

What an amazing story. I'm glad Tristan got a miracle. Yes, God is good. Your rhymed testimony to a miracle was well done. The pace moved quickly and the story was well told.

Wow! God is good, Infact He is an amazing God, and I'm so glad your young grandson has lived to tell the story. Distance has never been a problem to God, and here's the proof of that. Beautifully written Janet, an excellent post celebrating Hjm, and your grandson's health. Well done, blessings Roy

Thank you Roy for your encouraging review. It was Tristan's older brother Nate, who played soccer in Queensland for two years a while back. (the one you and your family prayed for back then) He now is a soccer coach and his little brother's biggest fan. He went with their Mom to Taiwan to bring Tristan home.

    Blessings
