I look at your image of so many of our animals and I see the "crafted beauty" - and they truly are all around us "gracing sky, sea and landscape". We live together on this planet - I watch dear come into my neighbor's backyard in the morning to eat berries from one of his palm trees. But we cause them to be "fragile" too.
Thank you for the author's notes.
Beautifully expressed, Debbie. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you so much, Pam, for your kind review and thoughtful comments! We used to have a place in France, deep in the countryside, with a hunting lodge across the road. They used to assemble there with their weaponry and 'rabid' dogs, barking like crazy in anticipation of the kill. I would happily have shot the lot of them and always rejoiced when they came back with nothing! I know deer aren't endangered but to cause them such awful stress (which affects the flavour of the meat) as a game, is simply barbaric! Thanks for the best wishes too. Take care Debbie xo

Once again, you fascinate me with what interests you and what you're extremely educated about. These are things I don't ever give thought to without your insight, so thank you! Very well-done poem with accompanying Author's Notes.

Thank you so much, Elle! Google is a wonderful source isn't it?:)) I love Andy Warhol too. In fairness, he did a great job raising awareness. And I can't believe that your wonderful symbol came so close to extinction. You're always such a great support! Thank you so much! Debbie xoxoxo

Beautifully written, and great topic. Thank you for also including educational tidbits in the notes section. Your poem says so much with so few words - by bringing beauty and fragility to light, you instill both appreciation and urgency at the same time. Not a single syllable wasted.
Also, excellent choice of title, description, and accompanying art. This is the full package! Six stars.

Your haiku is wonderful. I love how it celebrates the beauty found in nature. I never thought of it that way but it is artistry that is in the natural world. Great job.

-Wonderful artwork and nice presentation, Debbie.
-Your notes are also appreciated.
-I love the Paul Cezanne quote. If you don't mind,
I'd like to use it at some point for a poem later on.
-You wrote an excellent poem with an important topic.
-Each line is equally important and beautifully written.
-It reads like a haiku and has a great satori like concluding line.
-There is a lot in between the lines that shows how
much you appreciate wildlife who deserve their natural habitats.
-I agree with you and love this poem.
-Good luck in the contest.

What a great way to illustrate the artistry of God's creatures who grace our world by their presence. Fragile creation that we are called to care for lest they be lost to us. Your few words pack a lot of meaning.

Yes indeed, sight and sound are big influencers, depending on how we are programmed, being an optimist or pessimist, but probably environmental is the strongest, well done, good post, blessings Roy
