Thank you for sharing this. I'm sorry it's personal. You'd think at our age this stuff would be left in the halls of school, but no. A great reminder of the the golden rule: Do unto other as you would have them do unto you. A godlike quality, I think, one of Love, peace, understanding, and kindness.

Humility is the key to God's love. I liked your poem that lists all the faults that humans can't seem to stop saying and doing. If we put Him first in our lives we get the help we need to help others that are unaware of our God. It is so hard for some to say 'sorry' we are a proud race. When our Father forgives us, we should forgive others for all the points you have mentioned. Yes, there are none perfect, not one. Love K xx

Equally true is when we fall short of this most basic concepts of mutual respect, we must step up and admit it.
Words hurt. Actions hurt.
Or...
They can heal and lift us up!
Your poem is a great reminder to count to ten before acting or reacting!

Thanks so much, K, as I know that as humans we are all flawed and is almost impossible to follow all the time. Yet, most of us try until a time comes when we do sometimes react. I for one am guilty when someone hurts me. I wrote this for myself as well.
I go in tomorrow and have to be at the hospital by 7:45 so I will contact you when I get home. Good night, sweet friend. Debi

Knew nothing 'bout the Golden Rule
(An abusive spouse may know about the golden rule, but they don't abide by it. Chances are, the abuser has a screw loose in the head and is in desperate need of mental health treatment. However, that does not excuse abusive behavior, and his victim does not need to forgive him.)
