In time I've learned God is not a magic genie who we can ask to heal every scraped knee. I lost my first baby, after my friends gave me a big baby shower, and I wondered, "Why me, Oh God?" My young husband was in a devastating car accident where the passenger was killed. My husband was drafted into the military during the Vietnam era, leaving me all alone. My mother passed away when I was in my thirties. I've prayed over many, many things that I didn't understand and didn't always get answers.
I'm here to tell you...God examines your heart for sincerity. He provides everything you need, and protects you from evil...real evil, the kind that can destroy your life. He may not answer you during all of your bumps and scrapes, but He loves you and will lead you to places where people love you. We love you, and you will understand in God's time. This too, shall pass.

Oh, my sweet Earth Angel, thank you for your caring words of support and wisdom. You are so special and I always appreciate your caring and kind ways. I know you have been through a lot in your life. I know how that sticks with you. No wonder we both get along so well since we have so much in common, besides health stuff.
Yes, challenges are a part of life and this last week it was very hard, but things are better now. I no longer believe I will be leaving the site.

Amen! Beautiful poem of faith! Wish this were in the Faith Poem contest. It really changes everything when we just start focusing on our Omniscient, Eternal God and His plan for us instead of what we want based on our limited vision living trapped in time and space.

This is an interesting poem. Dare we question the Creator about our unanswered prayers? Because we trust Him we can, but must accept that prayers are answered in His time, not ours.

Understanding rarely comes right away. So, patience is absolutely required. I well know that it is difficult to make sense of things written and spoken in ancient Hebrew language. Trust in God who makes all things clear.

When we live this life even after 86 years, I still don't understand why God would allow such things in my life as have happened, but one day in his time, I will know what it was.
