I liked the word usage and it flowed nicely. Good read. Nice job. Tighten it up some more and you would have had a 6 stars. Just remeber I am very stingy with my stars :)

The hard truth and stark reality of war is that good men/women die and the hands of fate continue to move us ever on toward the next conflict - the next war - where yet other good men/women will die. The cost of freedom? Will we ever learn is awfully high. Well done.

"what lessons have you learned", I think that is the key question. Sadly, I feel that these events continually recur throughtout history.

Your poem reminds us of the price vets pay and asks an important question. Unfortunately, mankind and its government do have a tendency to repeat past mistakes.

Wow, such powerful words that cause you to stop and think. Espicially now on Veterans day you ask yourself have we really learned anything or are our leaders simply ignoreing the sacrifices made by so many young men.

A very appropriate poem for today. I enjoy non-rhyming poems much better than rhyming poems because there is no need to used forced words. You poem flows easily with a good message.

I liked the way that you immersed yoursself into the mind-set of the soldiers throughout history. they ask some tough questions, and ones that bear consideration by every new generation. Good ideas in this poem. Each line is really well thought out. It took me a few reads to really grasp what the author is saying but it's a good message that speaks volumes. I agree with the message. I think it would help the reader if the font size was enlarged. Well done.
