A very nice horror story at first. You are correct there is no word count in this contest, so I'm wondering why you did not finish the tale. You have a beginning, a middle and a climax, but no resolution, no end. It is written in first person so either the boy lived or he is telling his story from the grave.

I didn't want to tell the reader how it ended. I was hoping for a jaw dropping moment for the reader. Did he end up as dinner, who knows. thank you for the great review. Gretchen

A scary story and you used all the words required for it. I just wish I had not read it so late at night. If I have nightmares it will be all your fault. Hahaha. Miss sally

I don't really like a story if there is no redeeming factor at the end, It should be the two friends who deceived him that should be cooked in the fire for their deception and betrayal of a friend. The portrayal of the witch is acceptable for witches are like that. But to simply present the story for the sole purpose of just scaring is incomplete to me, there must be a moral lesson at the end for the readers to gain insight from your story. You are however a natural story teller, so this still deserved a 5 stars rating. God bless.

The moral is don't do something you know is dangerous just because someone dares you to. LOL. thank you for the great review. Gretchen
