Very chilling and the motivation to commit such an act is believable.
I enjoyed reading this flash fiction. Good luck in the contest!

A well-written tale of love, hate, infidelity and murder. The line 'You betrayed my trust, despoiled our love' informs us something bad is going to happen, and the line 'Too bad you're both still breathing' lets us know the worst has happened. The last line is great. It's his justification for what he's done. Good job.

Adultery, the ultimate act of betrayal. I think this would turn joy into a blinding hatred. I was thinking at first, he was just burying his wife alive; but on a second read and looking at the pics, I think he has buried the lover also. Absolutely chilling and terrifying! Very clever ending and twist on the marital oath.

Wow those art works are chilling. I can't think of a worse death then being buried alive. You did great with your descriptive writing in just one hundred words. Great contest entry.

Nothing more horrifying than being buried alive. I don't blame the guy at all. I've just recently been betrayed by two people I loved, one for twenty years. I wouldn't murder them, but I hope they will suffer and regret their heartless choice to throw me under the bus. So I really like this one and will probably vote for it. :)

Now this is a a horror story, burying a cheating spouse and her lover alive. Betrayal is hard to take and certainly hurts. Looks like your character is taking revenge to the extreme. No chance for forgiveness here.

Good luck in the contest with this gruesome tale.

You sound like-never mind. And what would Princess Di be doing if she were alive today? Clawing hell outa that casket. I didn't count the words, after seeing
your note. Excellent.

Thanks, LIJ Red. Yeah, Princess Di would be clawing her manicured nails off the nubs to get outta there, no doubt.
    Much obliged for the review.

The picture mirrors your thriller/ horror. The husband was devastated from his wife's infidelity. He buried her and her lover alive , "till death do us part". He kept his part of his oath. What a terrible death to endure! Well written with very good imagery. Good luck in the contest.

Well, Dean, you should keep this one away from the wife. She may not understand it's only fiction. Love the subject choice, infidelity has been on everyone's mind at a time, so has vengeance. Well done.
