I love this! You are so right a woman is never re-tired is she, the beds still need clean sheets, the house still needs cleaning and meals need to be prepared! But all women have the ace card! They live the longest! Love your dialogue, very clever and inventive, love Dolly x

Yes, very well written and we can just imagine the wife and hubby having this conversation, a very thoughtful and humorous read, very well done and by the look of the photo they have both re-tired****kahpot

LOL! True, a man can RE-tire but a woman never can. She's still stuck waiting on everyone, cooking and cleaning. Interesting dialogue between he/she. I wonder if he got the job. Marilyn

"Labor Day", is a well-written and entertaining piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. You KEEP WRITING and I'll KEEP READING. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Maybe "Hubby" is more of a people person than a factory worker type, Rhonnie. If that's the case then there's always WalMart greeter jobs available.
"Howdy, folks, and welcome to WalMart. We sure are happy to have ya!"
See?
I got my spiel down to a science, heh-heh-heh.
Good Labor Day posting.
Thanks for sharing.

Ahahahahahah yes! Thank you for this. It was a good read and a good chuckle. It was cute to picture the environment the conversation occurs in as well.

Nothing like the threat of a bit of housework to get hubby moving in the opposite direction! Love the humour of the dialogue here! Doesn't sound like either of them are too keen on 'Labor' Day! LOL

What a cute spin you've taken on Labor Day, Rhonnie. I like it. So realistic and lifelike, LOL. Great banter and good dialogue. A few nits, I've listed above, and you'll have an excellent piece. I already made pasta salad, choco chip cookies, and prepped the roasted brussel sprouts for dinner later. I'm whooped! Haha. Vacation? Day off? What's that? LOL. Nice job with this penning ... keep em coming!

Getting a job in Labor Day is the poem I think is intended to mean. I don't know. Anyway, it has its own humor on dialogue. Excellent work! Good luck in the contest!
