This is a beautifully written poem about spring. I love the style you have chosen, This Hill & Dale style is almost musical in it's style. It has a lovely rhythm and no doubt the candence would not be so good unless the poem was so well written as this one is. Your second stanza is my favourite.

Thank you for your very kind praise of "Sweet Song of Spring," Dolly. This form is new to me and was almost as challenging as a sonnet to write because of the sudden shift in meter.

Wow! This is so exceptional. When will I ever get more six stars? This is so frustrating to award this poem a five stars. Not only did you follow all those stringent requirements, but you did so with polished images and interesting rhymes. My favorite is "crescendo" and "plateau." That is simply remarkable.
And it is written so well. The first line draws you in. Then it just keeps getting better.
I intend to vote for this Spring poem. I am sure it will win. And, I have to see who you are. I think that I know.
