The plot moves along at a good pace and you leave us wanting more, which is a good thing as far as FS is concerned of course. I ask this out of interest: Are you creating as you go along or do you have the complete story in your mind or on paper, disc or whatever before you write here?

I'm up to chapter 23, and I'm adjusting as I go along depending on the edits in the reviews. In chapter 21, I needed to go back to chapter 16 and make a slight change to make it work.
Thank you for reading this part, Jim. I appreciate your kind support. :)) Sandra xx

I know a couple of authors I read on here, have the whole book finished before they start posting. The chapters in my Time Travel books were written as I went along, as were Eric's books. This is the first one I've been ahead of myself. What do you do?
reply by Pantygynt on 18-Oct-2020
A redundant star was partly done ahead of posting but by the end it was written contemporaneously. I am even now revising it extensively, cutting it back considerably. I think I got carried away with the Great Train Robbery Sequences, so they are being pruned right back.

Maid of the mill and its sequel were originally written in 1992, when I had never heard of 'Show Don't Tell' so that has been extensively revised. 'Maid' is now completely rewritten and abbreviated. Its sequel together with the last part of the original 'Maid' became two further books to create the trilogy, which is still under review. OMG I can't even answer a simple question, simply. Lol.

So you've had them under wraps for ages! It's funny, but when I look at things I wrote years ago, I wonder how I had the nerve to join this site. Perhaps it's knowing that we don't have to face our critics.

When I first reread Maid I was aghast at the amount of 'tell' and wondered if I would have anything left when I had cut it out.

I would never object to meeting my critics and debating issues with them, the serious ones I mean.

Likewise. If they were interested in meeting up to discuss what I was writing, that would be a compliment, and I'd enjoy listening to their suggestions. Wouldn't that be something?

It could be done now easily enough with a zoom session. Interested?
reply by the author on 18-Oct-2020
I'll have to sort out Zoom. I've not tried it. I'll check it out and if you're around in the week, we'll link up.
reply by Pantygynt on 18-Oct-2020
I have bough my Zoom so you wouldn't need to do that in fact you don't need to do anything except have a computer with a microphone and a camera. I would send you a link and at the appropriate time you click on that link and I let you in. Just tell me when you would like to do it I am free any afternoon except Tuesday or Friday when I have a poetry class. Not after 6.00pm please.

I'm enjoying this story. I still haven't had a chance to go back and read the beginning but I will try to soon. This is very intriguing and I am anxious to learn what she might learn from this meeting.

Thank you so much, Beth, for another lovely review. I think because this is only the 4th part, and you read the 3rd part, you'll have a good idea of what is going on. It's so nice of you to read my story, I really appreciate it, my friend. Thank you. :)) Sandra xx

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

-Great chapter, Sandra.
-It flowed well and showed
the feelings and thoughts
of Grant and Tania very well.
-Each one has a dilemma, and
it involves trust, as well as honesty
and diplomacy.
-For Grant, it hinges on his brother,
and for Tania, her talent and reputation.
-Each one seems to have an experience
that soured them in some way, whether
it was a personal or professional relationship.
-Tania made the right decision in agreeing
to meet, but at a central location, and not
bringing her plans.
-Now I want to find out how that goes!
-Very well done, my friend.
