It is great to hear that your father-in-law was a writer, too. It runs in the family. His poem does clarify the ages of the latter years. It would be fun to have three friends who a person could have a beverage with, like in the image. The image represents the poem well.

Hello my sweet Rosemary, I thank you so very much for such a kind review and comments. I loved writng it, but I felt it was a little too long. It was especially an honor to write alongside of Gil Broxson?s original. Yet I think ten lines per stanza was a lot, but it was a fun prompt! Thanks again for your kind comments, my very dear friend!
My only living aunt just passed away about a month ago.
She died at 99, the day before her birthday. I so wished she could have seen the big one.

They call it the golden years because it costs so much to stay alive. I'm seventy-six and still going strong, which I intend to do until I'm ninety or so. I love your poem. Best of luck in the contest.

Hello my sweet Prettybluebirds. I know exactly why it is that you are going strong at 76, and that is your awesome fun sense of humor. That is my favorite thing about people, is the ability to laugh at ourselves.

Good luck wishes regarding the contest entry, Debi. I absolutely loved the picture, three middle aged ladies with wine on bar stools. I love how your wrote your words to cover the age span as time went by. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings n hugs!!!
