Debi, a beautifully written poem, as only you can do it. The "apple of our eye" is perfect for Karenina. When I started on FanStory, she was my first fan. I wrote and said, "I never had a fan before."
I noticed one typo..She love (s) us. Excellent tribute! Terry.

You certainly put her departure in perspective. I will miss her writing and her reviews. She has a way with words and could paintva scene that stuck with you long after you had read her work. Beautiful tribute, Debi. Thank you for posting. Gretchen

and I can echo your sentiments, as well as many others. Karenina is a blessing to have as a friend on line, so I cannot imagine how much better she would be in person.

Yes, I too was greatly saddened to read of her soon departure. She is a gracious thoughtful lady, who offers huge encouragement and great support to all with her insightful reviews and good humour. She'll be greatly missed. Thanks for sharing this lovely tribute for her.

I feel sad that Karenina is leaving the site .It may be because of her health .I enjoyed reading her poems which were often very intense.

You've penned a great tribute to a writer and friend of many, many years. Karenina will surely be missed by all. She's touched the writers soul in so many of us through her knowledge and dedication to her art... writing.

Your line "We know she love us too . . ." - love needs an "s" for loves.
I was just saying to someone here that all of my favorites seem to be leaving FS, and I'm sad to see them go. But I plan to stay in touch with Karenina off-site and hope to continue to read her beautiful poetry.

After 15 years of writing and reviewing on FS, it won't be the same here anymore. We are losing too many now. Karenina will be sorely missed, she is loved by many on here.
