Great write, Carol. Creeping and crawling around in the trapped mind of a writer who neglects what's most important. How many of us can relate to that at times? It's like an exposition of being torn between two lovers--unable to make one feel complete without sacrifice of the other. Then the conclusion with common sense prevailing--perfect. Really enjoyed it. Cheers. Ash.

    Ash,

Thank you somuch...My life has been so turned upside down of late, I feel that I have neglected everything and every one. The story though told from a man's point of view just tumbled out of me this morning. Glad you enjoyed and I thank you for your continued support and kindness. Smiles, Carol

I enjoyed your story that reminds us of our true priorities. ("Time" lost its "e" in paragraph four.) I especially liked your use of hyperbole in the first paragraph and your fresh "niggling of shame worms..."

typo - Tim stops for no one - Time
You know I have a dead line to meet - deadline
You get into the mind of this obsessed writer so well, Carol - I can imagine his writing without stop except for a brief meal or shower. The dialogue also works well to expose the wife's feelings - I could hear the tone of her desperation and her feelings of abandonment. The ending where they both come together is touching. Brooke

A very nice read, and oh so true sometimes. I think you have written very well how the overwhelming need to put thinsg on paper can blot out everything else around us, even to the exclusion of the ones we love.

(Tim) stops for no one. Add an e

..... know I have a (dead line) to meet." deadline

Hi Carol,

You have such a fluid imagination which serves you well. I use the word
fluid' because all of your writes are smooth and easy to understand. This one is exceptional and speaks to me on several levels. Well done...blessings, chey

This is a stunning story, Carol! Well-written with an emotional pull from the start. We do tend to get caught up with writing sometimes, don't we? Great descriptions and a story that moves along smoothly...too soon we're at the end.
