This is good poetry. I'm not sure what you are talking about, but it's well said. The distress of evolution of man didn't seem to fit the rest. Just my opinion. Best, Dan

This has a bold bodily feel to it ... you write with wisdom but, something else too I think...there is a well of experience and thoughtfulness about this piece. Well done...I think it would be a good thing to hang out and explore things a while with you...nice write. xoxo Kiwi

I teach and love History so this touched me.
Incredible use of imagery and metaphor.
It makes senes and is written very well.
I like your use of poetic technique.

This is superior poetry, deepwater. I particularly liked these lines:
"Can we now withdraw leaving you to explore the foreign but new roads of life,
How will we stand, lead us by hand as the days grow dimmer and cold."

Totally deserving of the ribbons, and I apologize for lack of a 6. All richly expressed, but the ending is the purest of poetry. 'if our paths should perchance meet, well,/ perhaps we may travel together for a time...' Beautiful and pure truth as well. No suggestions or corrections. later and God bless, shy

You started with a nice flow and rhyming scheme, then you totally changed tracks. I like the message it conveyed, but had to read it a few times to 'get it' due to the lack of continuity.
