Very carefree, and that child shows in you. Gulls, ice cream and a hot summer day on the beach. What more could one ask. Great flow. Nice rhyming. Sounds like the perfect day. Thanks for sharing. Les

Through the eyes of a child the world should well be a place of wonder and delight. This is an excellent take on that bliss of childhood and splendor. Well done.

Till the last amen

Chapter 35 of the book Writings From the Heart through the eyes of a child "But best is the ice-cream" I enjoyed this poem you have crafted here, looking at life through the eyes of a child. It tells me a lot about your childhood and the things most important in your life. Well done.

This was a good poem. But, the poetic alliteration needs work. Nevertheless, the substance and subject matter at hand, was hot. As well as the fact that you can see from the eyes of the child. Keep writing.

DW,

A cute little number. The subject is very nice. The flow is fairly smooth. The visions your words put into my mind were sweet. It was a pleasure to read.

There was no SPAG. It was very clean.

I look forward to seeing you again.

Love you,

Oatmeal

I can see the outflow of deep emotion from the heart in this work. An emotion depicting a betrayal of love and trust. Yes, it'd happens and it will continue to happen inasmuch as man's heart construction is not written on his face. Nicely rendered. Exquisitely composed. Love LJ

Wonderful artwork accents the message inside this poem.
I love the memories looking back to when I was a child, and you captured many of them inside this nicely rhymed poem.
Well done.

Luke 18:17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

A child believes whole heartedly..

Well done, Buck

I liked this. It is a good reminiscence of what an adult remembers feeling, when they were young and free of worry and details. And I do remember the home made ice cream at my grandma's. My dad absolutely loved it. I don't care that much for vanilla ice cream (which it always was) but those were happy times. Well written poem with no awkward phrasing and your one rhyme is well done with appropriate words.

The artwork reminds me of our family trips to the seaside, and the simple fun that was had in the sand. Nowadays, kids would need a laptop to hand to research how to build sandcastles. :-)

Very nice read with lots of innocent and vivid imagery.

Cheers, Ray
