I love the rhythm of this. We depend on clocks for everything in our lives but the also drive us crazy. My favorite:

The lunar toc of the clock
drips time, drop by drop
Ere the cuckoo calls

A terrific statement on the monotony of time. Your poem brings to mind the madness of a chinese water torture "drop by drop." Wonderful flow and cadence. Thank the stars for the cuckoo. Your skill contiunues to inspire me Tony.

Metronomic madness...I,love this...it is isn't it. When we are young that metronome is a faint echo in the distance. The older I get the louder and faster and more insist ant it gets.....well done
