I enjoyed reading your loop poem "politicians". You followed all the rules very well for this genre. I also liked your art work choice.
All the best.

Hehe You are so right and you sum it up in your loop poem perfectly Kahpot.
We vote them in because we like their policies and agendas then find out it was just a ploy to gain enough votes to be elected. Thanks for sharing

Excellent example of a loop poem structure! I like that even the first and last word is the same. And I totally agree with the sentiment of the poem about the politicians who lie and obstruct the ability for many to live safely without meaningless bureaucracy.

Hello Kahpot. This is a grand Loop. I don't usually like political pieces, but when they read as well and mean as much as this one does, then I'm always happy that I took the time. Good luck. xoxo Kiwi

Good loop poem in more ways than one. We elect them for the promise of leadership, but two tongues always speak false. They say something and it comes out the other end. You captured the politicians place perfectly.thank you for sharing.

Cleverly worked out...I did not get the use of the word impaled until I looked it up and saw that it had a another meaning that should have been obvious, but I'd never given it any thought...the idea of a surround as in palisade as well as the meaning of being pierced. I'm not much into these kinds of poems, but thought you had a cogent message despite the difficultty of the form's requirements.
As an aside (IMHO) the blame really is on the voters who never get rid of the SOBs despite year after year of the same old/same old. B.B. Rose

Comment from Sallyo
Cleverly done, getting the rhythm pretty right as well as the loop structure. The line beginning "Action" is a little less easy than the others, probably because of the word "surround" having a stress on the second syllable. Altogether very accomplished though.

I like the feeling of your loop-free verse poem. It explains, with almost prose feel to it, about how we all feel about politicians. A lot to consider. Don and Vicki.

Politics to me is nothing more than a swamp of alligators eating the small fish and then blaming the small fish for not seeing them coming after them. Patricia
