I love poetry, My shelves are filled with the works of poets. This poem opened no new or old doors. I read this, put it aside in my mind, came back are read it again. I must not understand the underlying theme or message. I understand the Biblical reference of The Whore of Babylon and know that it is not a person as such.
It might be that I am not in touch with your reality or that I just don't get it.
Anway I do not get the message or the poem,

I like the picture of the whore of Babylon there is a air of mystery about her. The book of revelation is full of mystery as well who really is the whore of Babylon ? Nobody really knows, it is only future events that will reveal the truth.

Well B, I admit this is the kind of balls-out crazy I can really sink my teeth into. Who cares that it doesn't make a lick of sense and sounds like the insane ramblings of a religious lunatic? Not me. It's a hoot.
Whore of Babylon? That broad has gotten some bad press over the years, but I'd still like to give her a tumble. I hear she can do more tricks than a monkey with ten yards of grapevine. I've never been to Babylon personally, although I'd love to see the Hanging Gardens one day. Someone told me they're one of the Seven Wonders, whatever that is.
This was hilarious. A spot-on parody of this particular brand of metaphysical, "Book of Revelations" based, running around with your pants on fire, mumbo jumbo, right down to the implied misogyny. Keep it coming, cowboy.

No worries TK...maybe you could make a straight woman out of her one of these days...!

Bic you've done it again, for I cannot say how much I really enjoyed your satanic pledge poem; leading on with unknown characters Baal one of the seven princely demons, very nice, very dark and crude, though frightening to grasp a good read such as this is truly a treat.
I think if you let me comment, a darker, more bloody red back ground, haloed with white text. Just an opinion, though I think it would scare the living **** out of people.
Again, Bic, Masterful job, great layout, fantastic knowledge of Biblical characters and stories.
All the best,
THE FREAK
P.S. don't forget to nominate... LOL!

Interesting style you use here Bicpen. I often write with a bic pen. Babylon the whore is quite the statement. Opium, cages and slaves paints a vivid image.-Squid

Excellent...

Nice Bicpen, a very bold and bitter-sweet sadness that you have captured here. I really do like the progression, I think you made it work very well. I like that sort of thing, when done properly, that repetition can be so powerful. And it packs a punch here, good work. AND, you have given me something to research that I haven't researched in a while, so I thank you for that as well

You definitely have achieved a good use of a repetative phrase in this poem. It has a good flow and an interesting subject that really keeps the mind going. Don't know if I would agree with your depiction of the Whore of Babylon, but still a good poem.

You did great with the repetition. It was a good poem, I think in the authors notes you should throw out where you got your inspiration from. The artwork and color are amazing.

A sign of the times for sure. Such an appropriate name for her too as she mixes shamelessly with others she shouldn't..from a biblical point of view,
