I would give this six stars but you already have that. How ever, I think your poem is extremely important because it is so easy to forget those that gave all because we weren't there to see it. Thank you for your beautiful acknowledgement of the people that defend our country.

This poem evokes delicate emotions in me. Any thing to honour those who lay their lives in defence of an idea or other is good enough for me.

I always like things that honor or commemorate our military. I think all was well done but perhaps the last two lines could have followed the rule of rhyme that you began with and used all the way through. I felt the nice easy flow was broken there. But your thought and content was good. The image you chose was an excellent accompaniment. Well done

Amazingly well written poem conveying a very sobering message. The last three lines really tie it all up - I could see the six carrying the casket and hear the taps playing. Fantastic job!

This is a beautifully written poem and tribute to the many soldiers that have their final deployment.
I am a member of the Tennessee Patriot Guard Riders.
We ride with our military men and women and give them the honor and respect they deserve at their final deployment.
You have so eloquently written a moving poem in their honor.
Thank you for a beautiful read.
