Well written, this piece questions such common life's inevitable circumstances. It captures true beauty of the written word. I enjoyed this very much. Well done.

I just sat and watched the news - the genocide in Iraq, Gaza, Ukraine... and that's just the tip of the iceberg. It's a terrible time and as you so wonderfully say we seem to be committed to savage destruction! Very strong message, delivered with skill and eloquence.

An excellent presentation. You really show your concern for what is happening to our world. I agree that we are being tested now as never before. A question to ponder indeed. Will tyrants cause the extinction of mankind, or will people arise and prevail? Do we have the moral fiber to overcome tyranny? Your words are well chosen to reflect the urgency of your questions. judi

You're very welcome. I certainly hope things will look up, but we do seem on a downward path. judi

You have some very good questions here. This was written with a strong feeling of compassion for this planet and its survival of the human race we will either destroy each other with malice, or find a way to get along with love and compassion for everyone. This was an excellent written piece of poetic art to have read... John

We are already sailing the seas of
corruption and extinction deep. I
take from your post you are of the
same mind? Everything points to
the end being comparatively close.
Thank goodness it is comparative.

The thoughts and concerns of the writer are expressed fully and well. He has questions on how to go about them, and wonders if we can do something about it. Can anyone, the governing powers...mankind help in resolving the matters addressed? He says: " "Are the dominating powers...or are we determined to rebuild the ark?"

An interesting poem with a powerful picture that shows the force of nature well.

Overall, I liked your poem's message, but I have some challenges with the form. Poetic licence being what it is, nothing is really wrong, but I have a couple of suggestions that you can use or ignore:

What is the purpose of repopulat(ing) a world that is committed to savage destruction(?)

Can governing powers find the determination to abort the tyranny shown by race(?) -

You use a question mark at the end, so I expect to see others.

Again, use or ignore my comments as you see fit.

Thanks for sharing, Brent.

Hi!

This is a very thought-provoking piece Much to ponder here.

And everything you said is so true. I seems man has committed himself to eventual self-destruction. I, for one, do not believe these struggle will ever end. As long as man populates this Earth, there will be hatred, jealousy, power-mongering and passion gone astray.

The question, for me, is ... will there be two humans allowed on the ark? Do we deserve it? As I said, and you declared, we won't know until the time comes.

Nicely done!

Alan

Hi GW,

Your poem "A World of Difficulty" is written very well and makes a person start thinking about what it says. I thought it was interesting and well written. The print is so tiny I wouldn't be able to read it without my glasses.
