Splendid use of the vernacular to put Death in his place. One has to speak to him sharply on occasion to keep him at bay. He has a way of creeping into poems and pictures - memento mori and all that...

    he is a bit of a pervasive character, isn't he" The star of many Terry Pratchett novels and a wonderful narrator of one of my favourites, 'The Book Thief'

Oh this is cute. I expected something else when I saw the picture but this is pulled together nicely.
Love the emotion and determination.

Yeah you tell him Steve...are you ok?
Ten foot knife...wow a scythe I used one once....he should modernize ...I mean the constant hacking with that thing...you told him to scoot...Scoot ?! What on a mo ped.....Steve you were too gentile...SCOOT what about vaporize back..or sizzle back no this is death we doff our cap in deference and pay the piper

    Yay I wonder how we scoot from him...i m using digestive enzymes and making kefir from unpasteurized goats milk to keep him at bay:o) scoot but my kids mock me oh well I will be an old coot still telling death to scoot

interesting poem however I am not sure we will have a lot of power to stop death when it comes for us. I really would not want to do anything to change it for me. I have lived a long life and am getting tired, but I am ready to go to my Heavenly home that has been promised to me. Blessings, patricia
