"Have you danced?", is an extremely well-written and spiritually-uplifting piece. This talented poet's work carries an important message. It was a privilege to review a work of this standard.

Comment from Gloria ....
This is a beautiful song lyric, Roy. I wish you had recorded it so we could hear how it goes. I guess if you put in the time signature and chord progression we could figure it out from that. Or, maybe we're not supposed to know.
One small suggestion:
or number (of) grains of sand upon a beach?
Very lovely, my friend.

I'll bet you had read that passage about taking the wings of the morning and dwelling in the uttermost parts of the sea. Blank verse is a pretty rigid form. I'd call yours free verse. It is descriptive and lyrical, at any rate, an excellent post.

Hi, Roy
_ I like this. Very upbeat.
_ I actually kind of sang it instead of reading.
_ You see, I said kind of sing, because even then, without making a single peep---I scare the birds south way before it's time. (*<*)
_ Beautifully penned and expressed, my friend.
_ Take care.
Cheers & Blessings
Keep Smilin'.... Jackie (*;*)

I really enjoyed reading your spiritual poem/song. It flows well with a great message about God and His love for mankind. I'm just really learning about Blank verse and I like the style. The questions you ask in your poem are interesting and thought provoking.

This is such a beautiful read. I am so glad you brought
to share with FS readers. You were a poet years ago, a born
to be...I could read these all day. Thanks for reminding
the wonderful gifts of God when He calls us...

Good usage of natural elements here, Roy, leading up to the conclusion where once again your faith shines through.
Wishing you a good day.

In my imagination I have done all of the lovely, mysterious, beautiful things you've written of so well here, Roy. I'd like to think that every single one of us has...at one point and time in our lives. Some have even done so literally.
I would have loved to heard this after it was put to music. I'd wager it was deeply moving (no pun intended in relation to your stunning photo art, Roy). Besides, song lyrics do NOT have to rhyme--not always. And neither does poetry, not when it is written as well as this...
