this is very well written, cindy, you did a great job writing this story in poetry form about the cowboy that did the sheriff's job and took care of the outlaws. i enjoyed reading it, good luck in the contest

It's pretty cool that your father told you all the stories which made such a big impression on you that you retell them in poetic form years later. You tell a good story in verse. The rhymes are delightful! I don't know what the horse and rider are looking at in the picture but the horse seems like he wants to get out of there!

The stories aren't exactly as he told them then. I don't remember them that well and neither does he, so I had to make a lot of it up myself. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The picture brought to mind the cowboy riding off into the sunset. Maybe the horse has had enough! Thanks for the five stars.

That's so cute. Don't we all believe every tall tale that our father's tell us, lol...I'm still not sure which of my father's fishing tales are true...and theyonly get crazier the older he gets, lol...Great little poetic story. :)

You should write some of his fish tales! I'm sure he'd love it. I'm glad you liked my story poem. Thanks for this great review.

Very clever and very creative. I love the hero's name - has a nice ring to it and it's memorable. You did your dad proud! Fabulous images and descriptions. Tiny correction would be "brash and bold, they learned late". Great job!

His real name is Gerry. I changed the first letter so kids could sound it out. The Jing-Jang part he made up himself. I'm glad you liked the story poem. Thanks for this great review.

Oops. The correction didn't come through. TOO late, not to. Otherwise, great job.

Cindy your poem "Jerry Jing-Jang Comes to Town" is an absolute jewel of a story within a poem and it intrigued me. Well done and good luck in the contest.

This is a very enjoyable story poem with a good plot and ending. Well written with plenty of detail. Good rhyming couplets and picture. Good 'j' alliteration in Jerry Jing-Jang

His real name is Gerry, but since some of the stories are for kids, I made it easier for them to sound out. Of course his stories are fantasy, but when I was six I totally believed him. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the great review.

It's loosely based on my Dad's stories. I can't remember them too well and neither can he, so I made most of it up myself. I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. Thanks for this great review.
