kiwisteveh,

This was a brilliant write, and so very well written. You did right by Poe. :) A lovely form and I loved the internal rhymes that you used.

It was a very entertaining story from beginning to end. I particularly liked how each stanza would end with statements pertaining to Juliet ... very effective!

I thought it was a clever approach to write it in such a way as to show that he loved her so much and was not aware that he had murdered her.

Best wishes for the contest! This one, hands down, is the best entry I have read todate. I entered the contest too.

Your write is most deserving of at least six stars, but I only have fivers left to dole out.

Thanks for a MOST entertaining read! I loved it!

A entire different take from the works I have read in this popular contest. The lines carry life and horror, a very well stand for the touching artwork.

I wish that I had six stars to give you. This poem is astounding. It has a beautiful rhythm and flow throughout and has beautiful language. It tells a heart-wrenching story of a murder taken place and a wrongful conviction.

Very well done.

Wow! I've always loved the poem the Raven and yours is every bit as delightful to read as Poe's poem. Now, I know I don't stand a chance in this contest. This sounds like a winner to me.

Well now... whew! That was an adventure and a half! So well written and rhymed, it grabbed my attention immediately and grew more and more intense with each passing stanza - well done!

Yes this does read like Poe but If I may it is so much better. Poe who? What you have written is modern day Romeo and Juliet, not unlike the remake but with a more tragic ending. Talent you have.

Thank you so much for the kind words and the six shiny stars.

Yes, I chose the name Juliet to echo Shakespeare's tragic heroine and had in mind the tumultuous and whirlwind action in the play.
