To deepwater,
This is a very in depth and emotional piece of work illustrating the bravery and sacrifice that is done, {then and now} All hoping that their death will bring us our freedom.

Your poem touched my heart. If I am not mistaken, wasn't WWI the ware that was supposed to end all wars? I'm not great with history. I pray for world peace.

The sounds of war and the inner
feelings that lay hidden beneath
artistically and dramatically
expressed in poetic verse.
Well done

Poynient and real gw and perfect for
the subjectivity. It tells us the tale
as it was and with feeling. I am seeing

This is a very sad poem but also very true as to what war is all about. Lots of imagery and deep feelings in your work. There were some very emotional parts in particular Tomorrow will bring the same as today with less of my brothers beside.... this really brings it home to everyone. Very moving poem with a good accompanying picture. Genya

I enjoyed reading your poem and I love the picture you chose to accompany it. It is so appropriate, to say the least. I wish the wars in this world would soon end and people could learn to live peacefully with each other. Great poem.

Great poem. Your poem reminded me of the image of Scottish soldiers going "over the top" wearing their kilts with the lead man punting a soccer ball towards the enemy trenches. Punting towards the cross is more like it. Will we ever fight the war to truly end all wars? I hope so.

We never know when our day will come. We mourn the loss of our friends, yet who knows when we will be called home?
This is so beautifully written and deeply touching. If this is for Gunglalo, you have expressed our loss very well. Wish I had a six left for this one.
