I enjoyed reading this lovely image filled poem, amada. That you were restricted to a list of required words never entered my mind until I read your notes as each was so well integrated into the vision presented here. Your smooth flowing, smart, metaphorical poem made for most enjoyable reading. Good stuff.

That's the best review, that the required words were integrated in the vision. I worked a lot on it. It's so good to be recognized.

I enjoyed the free verse form that you used for this contest entry. I've never done Yoga, but you've seemed to describe this particular pose quite well. Good luck.

This is very beautiful, my friend. I like the image of the earth coming up to embrace one who is in a particular posture. It is a poem that shows clear, moving images. kudos

Someone told me about Yoga a long time ago and I started stretching and bending my body.. It was going well until I had an accident and hurt my back.. I liked this, it breathes of spirit, body and mind in tune with our earth.. well done!

You did a beautiful job of writing a poem with those words. Good luck in the contest. Your detail, flow and rhythm were awesome. The imagery was right on. Great poem.

Outstanding free verse ode! I love it. This captures the feelings of yoga with fresh and original imagery (fresh healed vase---perfect!)
And fine phrasing. Flows well and graciously with good use of dramatic pause.
Well presented and makes a strong impression!
Great word choices--like twinge, anchor, vessel, plenitude, etc.
Pray with my body---great line.
Bravo.
Warmly, rd

I'm thrilled you like it. I worked a lot on this one trying to send out the feeling of this pose through those words that called to you. Thank you!

amada - I became relaxed just reading your poem. It's quite descriptive and yet it imbues an inner peace. Well written. I certainly enjoyed it.

amada,
Your free verse poem using those specific words,
is superb! I like the various descriptive words
that you have chosen to convey the process of
healing that transpires as you practice yoga.
These lines stood out to me:
"Inner twinge
of emotion
as I quietly anchor
with the center
of my vessel."
This is a very excellent entry for that contest!
I really enjoyed reading it.

Okay, Amada. I am first to admit that I do not anything about yoga, but I learned from your well-written poem.
The flow of your words are relaxing as the yoga.
Good luck in the contest.

That's the best compliment! Even not knowing yoga you were relaxed by my words about yoga. Just what I have hoping for. Thank you!
