Excellent contest entry. Fourteen syllables brings across how springtime get the love juices flowing.

This picture is perfect for this poem. I'm not venturing any guesses, but whomever she is, she's beautiful. Good luck,,,jim

The cleverness and simplicity of your short love poem, which impresses upon the mind, more thought and emotion, than could a thousand words. The photo represents elegance, and a confident gracefulness.

Thank you for sharing.

This is an interesting and thought provoking piece of free verse...the illustration and ambiguity of the writing makes for a most mysterious effect...I am free to make up a whole romance tale for the woman picture but clearly it must be one that begins with high expectations and a sense of exciting flight...

Good luck in the competition.

Cool. Two suggestions:
1. "Faith of Love" should probably be capitalized.
2. Try trading "Blooms", with "Blossoms"
Also, why is "Birds" capitalized?
Good luck.

Hello author,

I enjoyed this short love poem and as The Jersey Shore is my home, I enjoyed the 1946 photo. What part of Jersey is the photo from? Smiles, LateBloomer

What a beautiful lady. And a short, but great little poem to match. She looks like she is meeting a love along the board walk? Or beach? Very nice!! I can see and hear the seagulls above! :) Susan

First of all, I would like to say I appreciate the brevity of this piece. As I studied the photograph I think of perhaps this could be part of a scrapbook. A classic photo with captivating line of poetry. Who is the lady? It's kind of like living part of someone's history. Fascinating. Good luck with the contest.
