Oh what a spooky thought. Leaves so frightened that they jump back onto trees is quite original. Happy Halloween and good luck in the contest.

'twas Halloween eve
dead leaves jumped back onto trees
so raw was their fright

LOL I guess it was a sight to see. Those leaves jumping back onto the trees because they were scared to death.

Must be some dreadful fright to make the leaves
turn tail and run...! Reminds me of the trees in the forest in The Wizard of Oz! Now THEY were frightening.
Really excellent job here. Even gave me shivers wondering about that special fright.
