I like this one, too. It made me smile as I remembered along with you. Loved the old movies. Even the romances were pretty clean in general. I think there were some risque ones out there, but I never saw them. Well rhymed poem with interesting point of view.

As the poetry, superb, working in the names without the poetry feeling all lumpy, and great use of rhyme and repeating line. As for the memories - my mother's talked about going to the movies in those days. A very different experience! One I wish I could have enjoyed.

I was to young to attend films by myself in the fifties.
But Friday nights found the family at the Drive-in theater.
A double-feature, and concession stand popcorn.
I was usually asleep in the back seat before Duke rescued
Maureen O'Hara.
