Yup, visiting was sure limited. We could not even hug our grandchildren or anybody close to us. I hope that part is over and will never happen again. The pandemic of 1918 brought tragedy but this sure erupted many deaths, too.

Iza,
This is a smart piece. Sooooo many people take advantage of this crazy situation--or--just use it to drive others crazy. And THAT drives ME crazy!
Notes:
1.) since there are so many "concern citizens" (who) are
--> are you quoting someone/something? Consider *concerned*
2.) that (they) will call the Peace Officer for
nothing.
3.) a city by-law in effect that banns visiting people.
--> *bans* = not allowed
--> *banns* = the announcements people used to send out for weddings
4.) Well there it's a communicate from the city in Edmonton that (bans) gathering.
--> communique?
5.) a proper hygiene and keep Coronella away.
--> *Corona*
6.) Edmonton population is brokenstein, and the fines it's going to buy him a seat "out"!
--> funny!!
This was a cool post!

A great humorous conversation between police and the regular person that puts all the regulations and government oversight in perspective. These broad rules never seem to take into account the individual situations. Do they have the cops to put this in force up there? They have all kinds of ordinances down here but they don't have the cops to enforce traffic laws, let alone mask ordinances. Take heart: hockey is coming soon! Yay!

You tell em Iza! LOL Give em hell. Not that it will do any good, but it sure feels great to hear ssomeone give them a dose of "what for."
I liked this part of your little rant:
"- Yeah, Merry Christmas and tell the Mayor to find another source of increasing the city budget, because the Edmonton population is brokenstein, and the fines it's going to buy him a seat "out"!
Try to enjoy the holidays. :) Bob

Well, these are frustrating times and don't look to change any time too soon. I've gotten to the point where I don't know what's right or wrong, but have to eat and find some detail paper. (Paper for de tail, like Cottonelle, Charmin, or whatever.) So write me my damn ticket or get out of my way. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Mr. Ric:) you are so funny and I got the reference about the tail:) Until they allow us to be ourselves again, please stay safe and Merry Christmas.

Oh I feel your frustration and appreciate your humor, Iza. Sigh. It seems people are taking on safety to a ridiculous level. You're right that they should find out the full information first - in this case, the person was actually helping the other person survive this time of Covid.
Comments:
that banns visiting (bans) I think there is a "banns" but it means a proclamation.
name of a "concern idiot", (concerned)

As a fellow Canadian pandemic victim, I salute your effort. Probably no one will listen.
Do you know you write with an accent? Quite humorous at times but is it intended? Other times it just seems like mistakes. For example in the first paragraph aren't they "concerned" citizens? and later a missing word -- that "they" will call the peace officer. And "bans" has only one n.

Howdy Iza,
I was reading over the chapter and the writing definitely shows a lot of what people are upset about in the world currently. Anyone reading this would relate to the post if they've been heckled to follow CoVid rules.
I saw a couple things in the writing that looked like they could be fixed, but I'm wondering is what written on purpose or not. The "concern citizen" and "concern idiot" should be "concerned citizen" and "concerned idiot" unless you're quoting the cop who's using incorrect english. So, that's why I wondered if the cop had said it that way or not.
The 1000 you mention should also have a dollar sign in front of it, but I wondered if that is also something where you live that's not necessary?
Anyway, I gave it a five stars for the moment and not four since I'm not as clear on the grammar where you live but see that it would be something that would be corrected where I live.
