I can understand how you could like trees so much. They do add a lot to our ability to live including oxygen that we breathe that comes from their leaves. Good luck with the contest.

When I pray for strength, I ask to be as strong as the mighty oak. Trees are special, so I relate to your poem. Great theme, flows well, your poem is like a soft summer breeze. Good luck in the contest.

I'm with you in regard to loving trees. And they are a wonderful metaphor for life. I enjoyed your entry and notes, and wish you the best for your entry in the contest.

This is very good. I like the add touch of the end rhymes for each of the three. And who can really argue with the necessity of a tree and not understand why one would not love them in all their usefulness to humanity.

And just think about all the animals they provide housing for. . .I love trees too. . .so strong and beautiful, every season gives us a new image. Best of luck in the contest.

You love trees, they ever please you, they stand not on their knees, they all stand staunch, as they appear graceful in a breeze; well said, well done; post more. ALCREATOR LITT DEAR (D R)

I'm not a fan of 5-7-5 style of poetry, but this one actually impacted on me, not just because I also love trees, but i like the rhyme and the imagery of a tree standing tall (not on it's knees). Simple yet beautiful. Thank you.

I, too, am a lover of trees and grieve when I see one toppled in a storm or cut down because of disease. Indeed, most seem "staunch" and symbolize fortitude--especially in these times. Rod
