Hello Paul, great job on this poem. It read really well and was quite funny. I went to a chiropractor once, but I didn't get any relief, and was told I needed to keep coming to have the work make any difference. Fortunately for me, the process of getting to his office involved an airplane or ferry ride and at least a two day stay in town, so I was never tempted to go back. Well done. Good luck in the contest.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

Thanks, Tom. Sorry to hear of your bad luck with the chiropractor. I've been really lucky with mine.

Paul,

This is actually the first of the 'Make us smile' pieces I have read that MADE ME SMILE. Shhhhh... you don't have to go announce that - right?

Having been to the chiropractor several times in my life, I could FEEL every moment of this poem. Thank you -- should I send you the money for the session or the doctor, himself? Either way, I feel refreshingly fresh! hahaha

Thanks and good luck!

Thanks, Robyn. I go to the chiropractor once a month and have been doing so for a long time. I gave him a framed copy of this poem.

Sounds like you have made a comical poem out of a doctor visit. I thoroughly enjoyed your poem. It's important to keep smiling during this chaotic period of our country. Thanks for the smile.

Thanks, Willie. It is tough to write humorous stuff with what's going on in this world.

I see a chiropractor now and then. . .this was too funny and made me smile. They are all different for sure but somehow, no matter how different do seem to do some good. I usually go home with a lighter wallet and while not always pain free. . .always with less pain. Good luck with this piece.

This would be worth my six star. I was smiling all the way through. Sometimes comedy is not for me, but sometimes they are written with brilliance and one can't help but smile...and well written too.
Bravo.
A very well done. I would like to see this one in the poem of the month contest.
Best wishes

Thanks, RG. I gave a framed copy of this poem to my chiropractor. He thought it was quite funny, but the fee was the same.

Thanks for the review. It's funny that you should mention limericks. I believe that I was the world's best dirty limerick writer. I had to give it up because of all the trouble I got into. I see there is a limerick contest coming up. I may take a shot at it and try to clean up my style.

I wrote a clean limerick for a contest...i believe it was called " Drunk Bartender" or "The Drunk Bartender". Take a look; I think you will like it!

I just found your limerick. I also found that you have written one hell of a lot of poems. I think it was around page 20. Not bad for a clean one.

Yep... Its a clean one lol. Thanks for reading.

I was wondering where this was going the whole time! It was a great twist and ending. I laughed so much when I got to the end. Thank you for sharing. Many blessings to you

Thanks, Heather. I needed to get my chiropractor to straighten out that twist at the end.

I never thought a poem about a visit to the chiropractor could make me smile so much, but you somehow managed it! I honestly don't have any suggestions for this one, it's just great all the way through. I especially like the last bit about making their wallet thinner -- that made me laugh. Great work and thanks for sharing! :)

I'm sick for a six! Thank you for making me laugh, Paul. Imagine that, we have the same chiropractor. Wow. Mine sprained my back. No kidding. Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest.

In the bag,
Sal :))

What a delightful poem which did indeed make me smile. You have painted a colourful picture with vivid description and great end rhyming. I too have been to the chiropractor and massage practitioner, felt the pressure, had them climb on the bed with me and heard my bones crack. Well done and good luck in the competition. Franky

Thanks, Franky. My chiropractor is a good guy. I gave him a framed copy of this poem. He hasn't hurt me lately, so I guess he liked it.
