Usually, children like to play together, and they should never leave each other out. I'm glad that Mary finally came around and played with the others. Growing up is not always easy so teaching the right from wrong can be the golden rule.

Thank you very much. I appreciate your fine review. Some adults are still bossy and some politicians even, who want everything their own way!

Simple cooperation. I knew Mary would come around. In the end she was glad she did. Many bossy people or bullies are like that. We just have to work hard at convincing them they are not the only one.

Very good.

This children's poem, A Story About Little Miss Bossy, gives the readers a dynamic character moving from her bossy state to one of cooperation and good spirits.

You've explored an important message in this delightful children's poem. It had great rhythm and good choices of rhyming words. Years ago I had a friend who invited me to go on vacation with her, but she said I had to go to the destination she wanted. We were in our 20's - some kids never learn the lesson. Regards, Lilly

Thank you Lilly. Super review. You are exactly right. There are plenty of adults and world leaders who must have everything their own way.

Right on! A reminder to children that winning isn't everything.
Some children get upset or cry if they lose. However, knowing how to lose graciously is important for character development. Too bad they have changed to participation trophies though. There are rewards for doing well.

Thank you for reviewing. Some adults are sore losers too and some are very bossy, maybe some political leaders as well who like to have everything their own way!!

Hello,

An awesome entry for the Children's Poem writing prompt Contest. It flows well with beautifully descriptive words that paint a clear mental picture.

The theme about a bossy kid is adorable...I know one or two...LoL

The rhyme doesn'tseem forced.

Well done! I wish you the best in the contest.

Thank you Gypsy. Super review. I know a few adults like this as well. Some are even leaders of nations! Maybe they should read it too!

There is always one child who bosses the others about and here we hear of Mary who likes to have her own way, that is until she meets her match and everything will change. A fun rhyming post, love Dolly x

Dear Mystery Writer,

It's getting harder and harder for kids to learn about losing these days. When they are all given 'participation' trophies and ribbons for everything. hahaha Can't have anyone feel 'less than' or left out, you know! Kids are gonna have to learn that some are better at some things and some are gonna win some things. It's far better to learn it when they're younger. We are doing them no favors to protect them and their feelings - that's my opinion, anyway. Not that it matters. My point is -- you are 100% correct!

Thanks so much Robyn. Yes, being able to relate well with others is more important than being the boss of others. Some political leaders should read my poem! I appreciate your review!

Your poem is well constructed with effective rhyming. Disguised as a children's poem, the sentiments expressed here should be noted by some adults. Strict rules that make no sense leave a sour note. The good result was that Mary relaxed and enjoyed playing with everyone. She's lucky there were any kids around to play with.

Wendy,
This is a wonderful children's rhyme you've penned.
Your rhyme and meter are excellent , and your message is clear about bossy people that always demand their own way. There were a few of those around when I was growing up.
Good luck,
And blessings,
Cindy
