An awesome story entry
for the Opinion Piece writing prompt contest.
Great imagery. It flows well with beautifully descriptive words that paint a clear mental picture.
The essay form is well executed and follows the contest rules.
Good deliberation about the yin and yang of politics...so true we don't get anything done :(
Good luck in the contest!

I appreciate your taking the time to read my piece, and to comment as you have constructively.

This is a very interesting piece ! I'm particularly drawn to the opening
About every set of ears hearing the same words presented before them,
And yet we integrate the info to meet our own expectations...
I feel like you have deduced all of the world's ills in this very fact.
I also enjoyed your analogy of Yang yang; ebb and flow; good and bad;
The whole political spectrum; day cycles.
Life should be easy shouldn't it.
"Even friends come and go,
but the longer one sits in power; the more folks find fault." Wow!

And the cause would be? Jealousy? Envy? Pride? Anger?
Do away with these and life should be easier save for the fact that if those were eliminated how would we know what we should do for everything has an opposite.

I most certainly agree, the proposition that the ability of choice comes with is what gives distinction between ying/yang and reason why the sate of the world is our own fault.

Hello fellow writer a good day to you. I hope this review finds you well. As a poet/writer it is always interesting to see the different takes on these contest/writing prompts. I think your take is definitely a good one. You make some really good points and a whole lot of sense. Good job and good luck in the contest.

This is a very mature and well reasoned opinion. Not just for the political realm, but useful in other parts of our lives, too. Differences between people are just the ebb and flow of yin and yang. Well said and well done!

I found myself generally in agreement with you. but I think I might have rephrased the lines below as shown not to change the substance, purely in thee interests of clarification .
'There is an incessant ebb and flow to change as inevitable

Even back when I was at school, studying politics, one could look at newspaper headlines about the same story, using the same facts to present preposterously opposed 'shocking truth' moments. The rise of social media seems to have only exacerbated people's tendency to take a position and try to shoehorn their response to everything into it. As I said in another review recently, people backed into corners will always fight, but at the moment, everyone seems to want to be in a corner, and nobody takes the middle ground where there's actually space to manoeuvre!
Excellent piece.
