You are so right. I think world peace is totally beyond man's ability to achieve. Once people are in positions of leadership, the power seems to distort wise judgement. It's unrealistic, knowing man's nature, to expect such things. Thanks so much for reviewing.

Your poem is clearly the best. I do know Trump preaches hate and violence. Biden preaches love and compassion. God is love, so who is the better choice. We leave it all in God's hands. We do our honest best, let God do the rest.

Well said. And God's will will be done. I think mine was a protest Senryu against the bitterness and divisiveness seen so often. (I am not American and I find such attitudes quite strange.) We are told to pray for our leaders and governments, not to revile them. Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. I greatly appreciate your words.

This 5-7-5, Looking in the Wrong Direction, has the right set up and reminds the readers that man proposes but God disposes. In the end, we will all know that He is God.

I think we often expect too much of governments - they are decision makers for the strategies of approach to various aspects of administrating a country. They do not control human hearts or minds, or forces around the globe. That can only be done by a collective.

Absolutely right. Thanks so much for an insightful review. Mine is not a typical political senryu, but I don't see the purpose of sharing ridicule or hate.

His kingdom will come, and it can't be too soon for me. I truly believe with what is going on in the world today, that we are indeed in the last days.
Nicely worded.

Yes, I agree. Mankind has rarely ruled well, but the solution does not lie within mankind's ability to produce change. I agree with you re the last days. Many thanks. Mine is not a typical political senryu, but I don't see any point in sharing ridicule or hate.

I thought this was very creative. You share Man's politics to God's kingdom in a creative and unique way. This was a well written poem that flows well and is easy to read. A lot said with three lines!

Your Political Senryu is apolitical in that it says politics doesn't work. Right now in the US, that is an understatement. Neither side seems to have a clue.

I am not in the US, but my world view is that: politics doesn't work, and one cannot rely on human leaders.

You express admirable sentiments here but it feels like we'll be waiting til kingdom come for God's kingdom to come - it keeps getting hijacked by those promoting injustice, hatred, and warfare.

Provocative slant on the prompt, but very well done. For sure man's politics are failing, so some heavenly intervention could be exactly what we need!
