Thank you, Dolly! I got the first line from my grandson as he set up his music for a skateboard ride back to his house. I loved the idea and the phrase. And, like you, I love the melodies and harmonies. :)
Blessings,
Deb

Thank you for sharing this NaPoWriMo Contest entry 12 with us. I enjoyed reading. When I'm editing or reviewing, I don't, but when I'm writing, I'm always listening to music. It seems to help me write. I'm enjoying these daily poems. Good luck.

Me, too! My hubby once asked me what was going on in my head if I wasn't singing. My answer was, either the music on the radio or the music in my head. lol. It's always there.
Than ks for reading and commenting, Barbara!
Have a great weekend,
Blessings,
Deb

For many of us, music guides us through the past, present, and hopes of the future, the melodies that seem to control the rhythms and tempos and moods. Thanks for sharing.

I was raised in a musical household and cannot imagine life without it. God's been gracious enough to allow me to scribe His music and it's such an honor.
Music is a record of our lives. It covers every event, every emotion. I am grateful for it!
Blessings, sir!

Your household sounds like mine. My grandfather and his brothers played on the first radio show in the area, and a place called Renfro Valley, where main country acts still perform today. My mother was the piano player on the Nick Clooney television show. Nick, who you've probably never heard of is the father of actor George Clooney. LOL. I was offered recording contracts with two major labels, but thought they were cheating me, so I refused. Years later I learned the deal were pretty customary. :-)

oops... lol.
My dad was a singer in a Southern Gospel quarter, music leader at our church (when he wasn't traveling with the quartet), and composer. I think thefirst time I was on stage, I was 6. I feel more at home there than almost anywhere in the world, and it doesn't matter where in the world the stage is set. I'm struggling with whether I'm supposed to be singing or just composing. I don't drive, my hubby isn't in the best of health, and I'm not sure I can commit to travel anymore. But I do love it. :)

Just belt it out from home, sister. The good Lord can hear you, and maybe even a neighbor or two. LOL.

Rest assured - there's nothing shy about me. I sing ALL the time. Drives Steve crazy. lol. But when I walk the dogs their miles each day, I'm singing or listening to a book on audio. My neighbors are probably crazy by now, too. lol
