From "I believe there" to "here on earth" would read better if separated into more than one lengthy paragraph with several different subjects.
"any more" in that same paragraph should be "anymore" as it refers to time not a quantity.
"on board" should be onboard.
Abandoned? Believe my posted autobiography Unwanted Dog covers that topic well.
"twenty five," "seventy five," and "seventy seven" should be twenty-five, seventy-five, and seventy-seven.
Shows what can be accomplished if people want to do something constructive.

yes, I read your autobiography, it was distressing on the one hand, realizing how the system let you down and the abuse you suffered. It pissed me off the way you were treated. Thanks for the corrections.

I have to say I had to smile when you said you felt like adopting some kids, with all of yours. Of course, I know they're gone, but still. I imagine there are all kinds of things you could teach young boys. double clove hitches or whatever you call those knots, or read them stories? I'm sure you'll think of something. That does sound like a good movie.

thanks so much for the glowing review and the six gal. I wish I were as good as you seem to think that I am. I fear I'll never adopt any children, but I can certainly continue to support organizations who do help those in need, not just kids. We all have the ability to do something, as the folks in Possum Trot showed us. If we wait until we have enough time or money or energy, we might not get anything done. I'm on the downhill side of my life, and soon enough I'm going to be facing God and I'll have to give account of my life. I don't want to say that I squandered His blessings and turned a blind eye to those in need.
You're right, there are other ways I can help, like you mentioned, in the schools reading or helping out elsewhere. I'm thinking about checking out the local food bank. I have a thing for food I guess, after experiencing hunger on the farm. I don't go hungry, and I don't want anyone else to go hungry. Thanks again for the great review gal, and especially for your friendship. I cherish it. I hope you're staying safe and cool enough. Stay in touch gal.

I have to admit I have never heard of Possum Trot, but am going to look it up. We actually have towns called Deep Step, Looneyville, Uncertain, Muleshoe, Nada- (in Spanish, it means nothing!) Hoop and Holler, and more.
But back to your volunteering, What would you do at the Food Bank, contribute, deliver? Are they the ones who serve the homeless in a shelter?

I'm having a time erasing what I've written with one misplaced finger- absolutely frustrating. No, the food bank just passes out food to those in need. Lots of people can't get by on their pay check or food stamps, especially those with large families, so the food bank supplements their food budget. Like all things, I'm sure there are abuses, but I can't spend time worrying about that. It would be awful if I had the ability to help and turned a blind eye because I was afraid my time or money was misused.

Nothing, I just had to type everything over again because I hit the wrong key and it wiped out everything. I happens all too often. Clumsy oaf!

no, you're not; you probably go along typing away thinking you're hitting the right keys, and you look down - gobbledegook- (am speaking for myself, of course.

I don't normally look at the keys, but sometimes I hit something instead of T, and whatever it is I'm hitting eradicates everything. Very frustrating.

Wow, what a beautiful story. So many children in our world are abused and neglected. Your story is well written and is very descriptive. I enjoyed reading it. I was a teacher for 18 years and saw so many children in need. It breaks your heart. Great job

Thanks so much Brenda for the exceptional review and the six stars. I worked in special ed as an aide for seven years and it was amazing the number of kids that come from dis-functional homes. So many of them just want to have some loving attention. I don't know what happened to this country that we have gotten to this place, but it's not the way it's supposed to be. I so appreciate those who step up to the plate and answer the call of God.

I sent a monthly donation, we corresponded regularly, and I often sent little treats she couldn't afford. thanks so much for the wonderful review. Years ago my wife and I sponsored a number of different children through Compassion International. We still support other organizations, including Danita's Children down in Haiti. There are endless ways we can help those in need, and it's always gratifying.

thanks so much for the exceptional review gal. I just don't think I've got what it takes to take in a child at this stage of my life. I know that the need is overwhelming, and it's easy to ask someone else to do the right thing. I will strive to support the non-profits who help these kids, and do what I can to bring their plight to the eyes of the public though.

thanks so much for the wonderful review and comments. The makers of this film, Angel Studios, also produced the film, The Sound of Freedom, which I wrote about a year ago or so. In that film, they told the plight of children, kidnapped and sent around the world to be sold into slavery in the sex trade. I'm ashamed to say that the biggest market for these children is the United States. I'm praying that those responsible for this will be brought to justice quickly, and those kids will be spared the memories of an unbearable existence.
