Growing up and maturing certainly has its ups and downs for all of us, boys and girls. But as a boy, I'm sure glad there were things us fellas didn't have to deal with. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Ric. You wouldn't have wanted to be a female and I wouldn't have wanted to be a guy, who would be more likely to get called up to fight. That is a good thing. I don't understand the ones who feel they were born the wrong gender.

You made me feel so sorry for this teacher. I guess he really wasn't cut out to be a teacher. I remember you wrote about Zetty Belle and her stories before. I think your class had more "education" on that subject that most of us!

Thank you Helen. kind today get that kind of education from movies or TV but we were pretty naive and shocked by some really smutty stuff. I've wondered if Mr. Johnson continued to teach. He didn't get a warm reception from the other teachers or the from the kids he taught.

Brrrrr. Makes me glad to have grown up as a boy, way less complicated.
...and she was thrilled to piecers - oops
Poor Mr. Johnson. I hope he learned his trade... or found another.
Best wishes.

Thank you, Wayne. It is good thing most of us like the sex we ended up being. It is built into your nature to be glad you were born a boy. In spirt of some unpleasant aspects of being female, I still prefer it that way. It would be good if everyone felt that way.

This activity was more common than we thought:
"Sometimes there were off campus activities students could attend only if they brought notes from their parents. The boys usually forgot to ask. Because they wanted permission to leave school and attend, they would ask girls with decent handwriting to write them a permission note and sign their parent's name." this was quite an operation: " I don't recall learning much school subject matter during the year. We all made good grades, which wasn't fair to the few students who really bothered to study the material in our textbooks." and amusing ending.

My daughter was visiting, and my electric wheelchair went whackadoozle. I just got it fixed and it's charging up now. I haven't been able to spend a lot of time on the site, so please forgive me if I missed any reviews or replies. I will try to do some today, but I may have missed some. Please forgive me. am trying to play catch-up as much as possible.

You describe well problems of growing up that girls face and that remain unchanged to the present day. I think we can all remember our first period, and the fascination that a hint of breasts had for boys, and these are timeless. kay
extremely leud and sexually explicit stories. > extremely lewd and sexually explicit stories.

An interesting look at the mores and practices of emerging puberty in another time and era- youngsters beginning to become aware of bodily changes- well told.

Hi Beth.
I believe I missed a chapter or two? But feel as I'm all caught up. I be think you are a few years older then I am, but I can easily relate to your story (on the boys side of course).

Note:

they would (ask) girls with decent handwriting to write

Hubba-hubba... the memories...

Thanks,
John

A reflective and interesting story about navigating the physical and emotional changes associated with growing into womanhood.

Edits: she was thrilled to piecers (pieces) with the idea.
Suddenly, every innocent remark we made was interrupted (interpreted) as something dirty by one of our fellow students.
Zetty or Zettie
some extremely leud (lewd) ...

Are you sure your mom want (won't) care if I sign her name?

Going through puberty is a delicate time for most girls and it was good for you to have your cousin around to share time with, but you were not impressed here. Another fine chapter in your life story Beth and I enjoyed the ride, love Dolly x x x
