This is very lovely. I do not know him well. He reviews nicely. and writes with feeling. It is unbelievably hard to lose a beloved to death, or divorce. The person is no longer there. You still have some good memories. But you may forget and set the table for two occasionally. Good writing here. Karen

Great poem Debbie! I enjoyed reading this even though I don't know Nomi personally. I feel their loss through your poem and that is what good writing does. It makes the reader "Feel". Keep up the good work!

Thank you for writing this tribute to Yvonne for Nomi. You really said some wonderful things in this poem, like the signs she's still here in his heart. Best wishes.

Thank you so much, Jessi. It is hard to watch any of our friends go through this kind of pain, so I know Nomi will appreciate your heartfelt words too, dear friend. Love, Debi. (Hugs too!)

Hi Ulla, thanks for your sweet words and also writing and joining the book for Nomi. He will remember this for years to come.

I haven't told anyone else this, but he wrote me that he will spend the remainder of his days with friends here on FS that he loves so much. Is that sweet or what? Thanks again, my dear dear friend.
    Lotsa love, Debi

We can never leave together but we can be joined in God's Holy land. I don't know Nomi? I lost my partner in 2019. It will get better if we let it. Like a wound, it takes time to heal and will leave a scar. She will always be looking down on you, side by side or as you say, a butterfly will land. Beautiful. Kace XX

Yes, and did you get my pm that I wrote you? I look forward to doing one again. However, last year you had a biographical one, so this year along with the info you gave me, how about I just make it uplifting and fun?

You sent me this awhile back to use in your poem, and I thought it would be fun if you could expand on an example of each of these awesome things you are to people.
    That would be nice.
    You said:
I have counselled a lot of people on FS. I have been a designer, bus conductress, Post Officer, and of course nursing. :-) my sense of humor has lifted many folks that 'get it! :-)

So could you give me a little example of each of these awesome things you are to people? I would love to write about them. And if you don't want to, that is ok too because I'm sure I know what you mean.
I know I plan on writing about who you've been to me. Maybe all these things, but mostly my own personal comedienne when I needed a laugh and a sister in Christ when I needed that lift.
    Thank you for that, sister.
Big hugs and lotsa love! Debi

I am a loner, and only have my dog. If you would like to write a funny that would be good.
    1. Six years doing carpet designing
    2. Six years being a conductress where I met my husband yuk. He was an alcoholic. I stayed with him until he was sober (ten years) he never drank again.
    3. Trained at nursing. Geriatrics, dying children, psychiatric too.
    4. Supervisor at sheltered workshop. Absolutely loved the 'kids' and they loved me. I've very fond memories of those cheeky young adults. Especially our cooking day . making coconut ice. More on the floor than on the plate. I started a swimming program. It was a hit, some had never been. I go swimming 2 days per week to strengthen my left leg muscles. At that point, I was going to take over and be the boss of the workshop. Bam! Got hit by a car when riding home on my motorcycle. Since being one-legged, had a riding school, started another for Riding for the Disabled. First member of RDA appointed to the National Organisation. Started visiting hospitals where patients had/were going to lose a limb. I don't believe in being a couch potato. "Stop feeling sorry for your loss, get up and help another." That's my motto and everyone is worth loving. Duh...that's all folks. Oh, 79 next Tue 17th. K xx

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
No more words need be said.
Your thoughts and your expressions,
They convey the thoughts of everyone.
We pray we'll all reunite with God's Son
When our time on Earth is done.

LOL, do you remember that song, Swinging on a Star? Or would you rather be a ........?
Thanks again, dear friend. Love, Debi

What a sad poem about losing a mate of 51 years, so very soon after their anniversary. You will never stop missing her, but you will remember the good things and forget the sad times.
