Nothing like a great Kentucky Bourbon Carol lol! Another masterpiece chapter in the book I suppose? Great work. You really are good at writing about these gangstas lol! Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure if it is because I was tossed into an Italian family with a past or if somewhere deep inside I just wanted to be a gangster, but I tend to love it. LOL I appreciate your thoughts and hope you continue to follow the story. thank you!

This is one of my favorite chapters, Ulla. I am glad that you enjoyed it. I know that Allie would want them to remain friends and now they might solve a crime that could mean life for so many others. (Wish it could be true).
Thank you for your kindness and the stars.

It's good to see two feuding police at loggerheads because of the differences forged in loving the same girl, one loses one's objectivity, now that they are burying the differences between them perhaps they can join their talents and solve the mystery, I wonder if she'll pop up like Eleanor and Danni, well done, Carol, blessings Roy

Finally, Eleanor doesn't have to knock the two in the head with something to get them on the right page...maybe now we can get a few crimes solved. LOL Thanks so much, Roy.

Hooray! The two finally had a heart-to-heart and came to an understanding of one another and pieced together the case. All was possible because of their mutual love for Allie! Great job covering this crucial connection between Garth and Donatelli!

Thank you, Helen. I am so pleased that you enjoyed this chapter. I think it was one of my favorites too. I waned the bonding between Garth and Donatelli to have a meaning and cementing their friendship and the love of Allie into the cases did it I think. I so appreciate your review and your kindness. The stars are awesome.

Strangely, there are good and bad sides to all of us. People should use caution and not bestow too much attention on what they see, because there is another side. :-) Thanks for sharing.

Hello there! I bet you havemore than two sides...lol Because you couldn't fit all your devilishness into one side that's for sure. Then of course, there is the real naughty side of you too. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I always appreciate you. your stars are so so kind.

It is clear to see how much Matthew feels for Naomi. You do a brilliant job of bringing your character's thoughts and feelings out in their dialogue, making them feel like real people. I liked the humour as well, particularly with "It's a cook-out pal, not someone's funeral." That line really made me smile as I read it. Another excellent chapter, Carol.

He cares about Naomi but I believe some of it is guilt because he let his mistake end up putting her in danger. Angelo will be by Naomi's side and I am hoping Matthew will open his eyes to what's or should I say - who has been right in front of him since the last book I wrote. LOL

Woo hoo! Better than I hoped for! I guess Allie was right to see something solid and goid in each of them...

Now they can begin to turn their focus on these papers with a fresh commitment, knowing they may have saved Allie!

I am so pleased! i wanted it to be emotional and heartfelt, but not too sappy. I think I got it right or at least I hope so. Solving the case with Allie in mind will be a good thing for both of them. It might even soften Donatelli's heart a little...I hope.

A great chapter for setting the stage and resolving some things about the stolen papers and how that ties in to Allie and the two men she loved. I could feel the love the both had and how they have agreed to work together and let their mutual love inspire rather than divide them.
This is coming together nicely, and the recap you wrote has been helpful as well.

Love and hugs,
Rhonda

I am so glad you could read the recap before you started this chapter...So much has been happening and things will begin to wrap up but you need to know who is who. thanks so much for the review.

An extremely good chapter - they are sharing things painful to both, but coming to understand, accept and respect each other. More than that, they are starting to connect the dots about the case and its intricacies. Very well written.

For me, this was a super chapter. I don't recall the story about Allie and cancer. I may have read it and forgot. However, when Garth came to town, in this story, I wondered why Donatelli asked if Allie was with him. But wait! Why would he ask that if he had been a mess after Allie passed. Maybe I need to read slower. In any event, I'm so into this story I feel like I need Garth to hand me one of those cold beers and I don't even drink beer. Your last story and this story are my favorite.

Actually, it was never written, just insinuated in this book in a few spots.... I believe you caught a blunder and I am going to have to retreat and see if I can find that...I thought Garth refrained from telling him when he asked if Allie was with him, now that you mention it.... So somewhere either through Eleanor or someone else he needed to know or else I have to change that section. I loved your comment on the cold beer...I don't drink it either but I'm with you.
