No, in thirty years, Miranda will be even smarter and will have taught Rita lots of things to keep them away from doing stuff like that. I'm glad Miranda could teach Brenda and Alice something they will always remember!

Your line about "those girls need help" made me laugh and put me to thinking back to when I heard an old man tell his waitress she needed a birddog bra. She asked what a birddog bra was, and the old man told her that it made pointers out of setters. :-) Thanks for sharing.

That is too funny. I have a bird dog myself. The kind with floppy ears. Thank you for making me laugh out loud. Gretchen

Hello Gretchen,
well, I sincerely hope that in thirty years you won't be reduced to stealing bottles of wine and hiring young male strippers. This was delightful to read. I liked the way Miranda handled the two thieves. Sometimes a person is better off leaving the police out of the situation. Lets hope the gals don't let the grace you offered go unwarranted.
Have a blessed evening.

I stole a pack of gum when I was eight. My mother took me back to the store and made me face the store manager. That was a lesson that left it's mark. No thank you. Lol. I appreciate this nice review. Gretchen

Wow! Miranda made a good stab a rehabilitating a thief. At least, Brenda might think before committing to doing something like that again. She is tough but has a good heart. I enjoyed reading this.

Thank you, Beth. I think Miranda saw her possible future and decided to go lightly on them. So glad you enjoyed this. Gretchen

That's like the old fashioned cops, if one went on a shoplifting episode, they'd scare the living daylights out of you, then let you go, if you were a kid, provably drop you home, deliver you to the door to embarrass you, beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy

LOL I couldn't help but smile as I read this. Miranda is a piece of work, and she doesn't completely understand Alice. I so enjoyed reading this. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Wonderful, Gretchen! This is a complete story in itself. Once again, Miranda proves herself a woman of character, not to be messed with and I love the way she identifies with and respects Alice. The last line is magic! Debbie. I don't supposed Miranda happens to be styled on the author?:)

This was a great chapter and the other bottle was a surprise. You are still a great storyteller and all this is so believable. Keep up the good work; I couldn't see any spags this time.
